OK PC Techheads, need your help - odd 3D glitching problem

And as luck would have it - my own 486 motherboard has just completely died :(

Burned out. Dead. Gone.

Wow, that had a long lifetime :)
Were you using it as a router, mail server etc?

Been a while since I had a 486DX 50 (circa 1992) and then a DX2 66 upgraded just to play Battle of Britain, and probably Wing Commander II. Good times.

Was a DX4-100 that I bought off ebay a couple of years ago and played DOS games on. Had endless problems with it - SCSI card and drives kept popping and eventually had to IDE CF it.

I'm actually sad it's gone. From the burning it looks like the PSU overvolted, and of course the first things to go were the very thin RAM traces and then a very pretty direct return to ground. Hopefully the CPU is still salvageable.

I'm going to the pub.

Good idea, have a beer for us (and for the 486) :D
