Only 2 viewing attractions?

Only two viewing attractions. Guessing that's the large viewing platform we saw and the gyrosphere. Hope more are added because that is going to suck if that's all we get.

I was hoping for jeep ride, boat ride and the viewing domes from JPOG at least. Amazing to think how 15 years after JPOG the game has took so many steps back and really only improved on the storyline, graphics and dinosaur AI.

The top suggestion I can come up with is to go look at how planet coaster does dlc, and expect the same. While a lot of people have a preference to purchase the whole game at once, what you do pay for always is substantial and the dlcs get great reviews on youtube.

Not trying to be negative or positive really, but in the case that JWE really is barebones, there’s already set patterns of release and they’re not that bad.....

I don't mind extra dlc but cosmetics, more than 2 attractions etc are stuff that should be in the base game.

Releasing it with just 2 viewing attractions and then charging extra is an EA stunt.

Only 2 viewing attractions is terrible. It's a dinosaur park sim, even JPOG had more.

Development build. Development build. Development build. Development build. I don't know if you guys really expect a company to include every single thing in their game for a g 45 minute demo

Keep telling yourself that.

The menus and such seemed complete, just with dinosaurs and such limited for the build.

Genome editing, disease management etc appeared in the builds menus in full (just locked from use). We saw the list of diseases to research (detailed, no complaints there. Looks fun) and the list of full genomes (again very good) to research.

So it stands to reason what we saw in the menus is what we get. As in less than 12 visitor buildings and just 2 viewing attractions.

Alot of people are going to be disappointed when the game is released and the only attraction is Gyrosphere and viewing platform.

there are 3 tech trees in the game... you unlock more building as you progress in the game through the tech trees. We never saw all buildings in the game since they were not unlocked by the players during their 45 minutes ;)... you're so negative. It's ok to be negative but the game isn't even done yet so I don't see why wasting lots of time by judging things from a demo play in 45 minutes. Still think we get lots of more material then we saw in those gameplays...

All the genomes weren't unlocked but we still saw them. We see the available research on the video I linked.

It shows maybe a dozen genomes, a dozen disease cures, a dozen or so skins etc but only 2 research slots for attractions. I think 7 researchable guest buildings (plus the 7 or 8 which were already unlocked).

No option either for researching cosmetics.

Plus there hasn't been the remotest sniff of anything other vthan Gyrospheres. Face it, them and the viewing platform is all we get.

I would love to be able to have some kind of monorail.

But perhaps we have not yet seen everything?
And then there's the DLC road...

Stuff like that should be in the base game. Holding off monorails and other attractions which should be in the game for dlc is an EA move.

DLC for this should really be reserved for dinosaurs (40 is a fine amount so no complaints if they keep some as future dlc) and extra attractions on top of what we got (if say, the base game had Gyrospheres, Jeep ride, viewing platform, JPog view dome and river kayak ride and then added say, balloon as dlc.. . Again no problem)

A park creator should not be released with just two attractions and zero cosmetics.

eh... why would they give us all things before the release? you don't seem to understand that the demo gameplay we saw whas in a game that isn't complete yet and still you trust this is all we get... man why do you think they added the ''development build'' in the right corner. you can keep on to be negative on this forum and make all these threads when you haven't seen the full game... because the full game isn't done yet . More then 2 months to go... if this whas the final game whouldn't we have it in our hands already?

I'm still not worried at all about this game and frontier is doing an amazing job and they'll surely will put a lot of effort to this games since they're also JP fans ;)

I'll have a bet with you, we only get 2 attractions on release and what we saw is accurate

If I win you have to change your display name to what I choose. If I'm wrong, I'll do likewise.

There are 3 attractions that we've seen so far in the game:

Viewing Gallery
This attraction is a window to the past that increases dinosaur visibility for the guests and can attached directly to the fences. With their large size and higher capacity for visitors, they are the spiritual successor to the Viewing Vent from JPOG.

Viewing Platform
This attraction will allow guests to spot dinosaurs at greater distances, and appears to be inspired from the Viewing Platform from JPOG.

Gyrosphere
This attraction is the ultimate visitor experience, radio control guides the sphere through each attraction, while the gyroscopic technology keeps visitors upright at all times. The Bulletproof Glass keeps occupants safe in the event of an emergency, all while providing unparalleled close-up views of dinosaurs. JWE's Gyrosphere appears to be the spiritual successor to JPOG's Safari Adventure.

The only other attraction that I would like to see added into the game, and could be manageable to make for the developers, is the Viewing Dome. It would be a great way to get visitors into the dinosaur enclosures, especially for the carnivores, in a safe way.

jupp saw them in eurogamer and quill18s gameplay videos so you're completely right. 3 so far but I still hope for monorail and viewing dome aswell though with possible others aswell :)

Yeah and JPOG's Dinosaurs were garbage compared to what is in this game. Of course the game was made in 2003. JPOG wasn't that great and it also suffered from over simplification due to being a console game.

It doesn't make sense to have a viewing gallery/vent and a viewing platform cause they are pretty much the same thing.

so not to drone on like we all have been for a while but - dev demo build so yeah there's that again

In any case the lack of space on the menus you saw in this build is meaningless. Planet Coaster had no space for 60% of the content that's now in game on the menus, but each free update that added that content added it to the menu so yeah, that's a thing too

Look at it like this too, we only saw 1 hybrid project slot in the game - we assume that's indominus because why wouldn't you, but we know that Indoraptor is a part of FK, and how much would you like to bet that project will be in the game too? so there's something not yet on the menu. The menus were probably restricted too because the devs had a thought that maybe everyone coming to their event would scroll through all the menus trying to reveal everything that's in game currently. I'd hide that stuff too

I also have faith (having seen PlanCos development from Alpha to now) that there will be a great amount of content that will quite likely make it's way to the game for free, alongside obvious paid DLC. That seems to be FDevs MO and I'd assume it'll continue into this game so even if there are only 3 visitor attractions at the start I'm confident more will be added for free at a later date

There are a lot of concerns we've all raised since seeing that demo gameplay. All of it I'd say is justified but all of it is also speculation currently. Only the final release will either confirm or deny initial worries, and then the dev plan after that will either rid us of worry or force us to keep putting threads like these up after release

There was also the issue that JPOG only allowed players to have 15 species for each island, and locking away the rest of the dinosaurs for seemingly no reason.

Yeah JPOG wasn't that great. The limitation set on the number of Dinosaurs you could have on an Island was due to the consoles it was on. Matter of fact there were limits on everything you could have in your park in JPOG. Fences, shops, safari rides and so on. This even carried over to the PC but could be changed by editing an .ini file.
