Was it this one? I saw him today too!
Seeing as MikeSnos is in Cambridge, the odds suggest that it was a grey. The nearest red squirrels to him would most likely be in a captive breeding program in Norfolk http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-14112734
