Open Beta Question

Hi guy's,

I have been reading/viewing hours of ED content. I must say, 120,00 EUR is a bit above my budget...but still...i can't wait!

I know there isn't an official statement, but does one of u have an estimate of when normal beta is supposed to start? I saw a youtube video that mentoined Oktober, im not sure if i can wait that long :smilie:

Hopefully the regular beta will be out long before October since a lot of people on the forum, myself included, think the gamma will be out in September to co-inside with the 30th anniversary of the original Elite. I think maybe an August release of the regular beta would not be an unreasonable guess.

If that's a serendipitous occurrence then it's all good, but not something I would place a bet on.

I wouldn't go pinning dates on it yet. We can see a good core but there's a very long way to go.

While it is pure speculation on the part of us fans about the September release. David was asked in that great interview that Scott Manley did with him if this date was in their thinking and while David didn't confirm it he really didn't go out of his way to dismiss the date completely. So I guess we shall have to just wait and see. If anyone that hasn't seen that interview then here it is
