Open Letter Mr Braben and Mr Sammarco

The "because I can" argument is one of the most infantile that a player can make.

At least i tried to add something usefull in this thread, i think a lot of people doesn't have any situational awareness and don't know what they are doing. However your comment is totally useless, so i'm wondering who is the most infantile, someone stating a fact or someone who doesn't add anything in a thread?

EDIT - You can mention murder all you like but where does the intent to murder lye, is it with the guy doing 102 or the guy waiting with 1% hull?

The guy who doesn't blow up is the guy who killed the other guy, this is murder in game. Now weather or not he's waiting for you to kill himself on or who hit who at what speed doesn't matter if the surviving ship was going faster then 100ms as far as the game concerns. It's stupid I know but again fly slower then 100ms and you'll be fine.

Dear Mr DB-OBE,

many thanks for ED and the Raspberry Pi, and somehow fitting an entire imaginverse (complete with Thargoids and witchspace) into my BBC B with its 7 bytes of storage and a 1 Hz processor.

Dear Sandro,

Nice hat, but are you Ricky Gervais in disguise? You sure sound like him!

Yours sincerely,

CMDR PiLhEaD

The thing is.. FD has never proposed a solution or counter to the "psycho serial killer" type players in the game.

i don't think they have to.

but being a psycho serial killer doesn't necessarily mean ramming newbs at stations or exploiting collision mechanics. although this does have a discrete 'educational value', and although open is free for all, it's also low, lame, it's not meaningful gameplay and only spurs controversy and bitterness. these exploits should best be neutralized, and the risk of these situations minimized at least in starter systems. let them try those pathetic tricks on a veteran ...

that said, punishment is ridiculous. i'm not getting wanted often but when i do i couldn't care less, and i guess most feel the same. a bounty should be inconvenient at a minimum.

You and I agree. I'm simply stating the facts.

Station speed limits were added to counter in-station ram-griefing.
Now we have in-station speed bump griefing because griefers will always find a way. Always.
However, you can counter in-station speed bump griefing by doing one simple thing. Slowing down. (Royal you, not you specifically)
