I thought the Thargoid bobblehead was way overpriced, therefore I boycotted the whole thing.

Agreed, there's no reason at all games should not be $800 apiece.
Hardly anyone would buy them, it would hurt the company, but it's not a necessity, it doesn't cost me anything if I choose not to pay it. If I don't think something's good value, I vote with my feet or my wallet, not by immersing myself in a stew of fixated negativity and grievance.
Last I looked at Star Citizen, you had to buy a ship with real money, quite a lot of real money, in order to play the Alpha. It was more than I was willing to pay, so I didn't. I didn't go on the forums and complain, didn't start a campaign, I just moved on with my life and didn't think about it again till now.
I've bought games on Steam that I hated. I posted maybe one negative review, then moved on. Done. Out of my life. I don't fill up my life with thoughts about them, or fill up the forums of those games with my grief. I could have, I would have been within my rights to do so, but it would have been a waste of my time to write it and the time of the people who actually enjoy those games to have to read it. It would have been reasonable of them to complain if I'd done so.
There's a whole world of experience out there. Elite Dangerous isn't an oppressive regime you're trapped in. Don't like it to the extent of it making you unhappy, move on to something else. Life's too short.
There are battles to be fought in this world, against oppression and censorship. The forums of an entirely optional computer game isn't one of them.

You all are zealots because your criticism is not actually based on ever being helpful, your criticism is based on your personal bias that anyting critical of Frontier is automatically not welcome, let me give you an example.
New poster: "You know Elite Dangerous is fun but I wish it wasn't so difficult for me to unlock ____. It feels so tedious sometimes".
Zealots: "You know I really don't personally see anything wrong with earning _ . I have about a hundred as we speak. People always come here expecting something for nothing, everything can't be handed out to you. Why should Frontier change drop rates for you?"

No it's just excuses for genuinely rude people to be what they are. It shows me the genuine immaturity because they respond exactly like I knew they would.
