It is beyond me why PowerPlay decals are not available.
The new decals in the shop are fine and all.
Many players will probably buy some and make them their own.
But that more relevant decals did not get out first, that is a God damn scandal.
It has been neglected for one and a half year, to put out decals relevant to PowerPlay.
FDev; why are you doing it like this?
Who makes such preposterous decisions?

Wait! WAAIT! What about a decal that is actually editable?
You buy a customizable space, so to speak- trick is only we can see it.
I mean- for other players it's simply not there.
In the end all Decals are already in our clientside data, no?
When we buy this "editable" one we also get to download a white square of the max dimensions of the Decal.
We can then edit it with any graphical program and "save it as" .dds
At the start of the game it parses the given folder and convert it- ta...dah!

As a free option sure, not for a paid item.
All that is needed is a defined space/spaces on the ships where a user defined graphic can be placed. In other games the size of the graphic meant that transmitting it over the Internet was a few k of data so wouldn't dent anyone's connection speed.
Heck back in 1999 we managed it in Mechwarrior with 512k ADSL. After a few hours of play you ended up with loads of decals saved in the games temp folder.
If Frontier want to charge for it or not is up to them but I think people would want it none the less.

I guess there is currently no code in place that makes sure that you only have access to your current power decal or none at all while unpledged. I think the game currently only knows if a player has acces to a decal or not. And if he has, it stays that way.

Perhaps we need a poll adding as well!
I do agree with OP though. I would have hoped for manufacturer or faction decals, not just some random symbols someone dreamt up.
I'm normally a sucker for new things in the store, and decals are one thing i've been wanting, but these? Pass.
Said everything I wanted to say. Literally ticked all the boxes:

3) Didn't touch decals whereas I dropped money on every last weapon colour on sale.

I never thought of that but can you imagine how awesome simple NUMBER decals would be for those participating in the various racing clubs?

Emoji-like is nearly acceptable. It's the Drug reference the saving grace!
Hell, if this is turning into a decal suggestion thread, national flags decals. For those that want to fly their nation's colours, but don't want to get a Viper MKIII. Or voted Yes in 2014 and don't want the Union Jack...
i can create whole game in my head with imagination, and its for free
Good points OP, its actually why I only really use the Founders decal (it holds some meaning to me)... well that and that we cannot change the colour of the decal which seems a bit hit and miss depending on the skin you have active and the ship.
Is it multiplayer or just a single player campaign?
