Can i just mention something here, a little nitpick if you will.
The decals are not mirrored (i don't know a better way to put it but..)
For example if i have a decal which is an arrow facing right on the left side of my ship, the right side of the ship will also have an arrow facing right.
like so...
( -> [] -> )
This triggers me like you have no idea.
instead it should be this....
( -> [] <- )
I know, i know this is just a small tiny thing but if they fixed this it would make ships look much nicer and symmetrical.

Hearing ya.
This will actually stop me buying any. I like to pair decals on both sides, dont like one on the front or top.
I hate this trickle nonsense. Just give us a bunch of paint jobs for every ship and a good few pages of interesting sci fi themed decals.
Not one or two, not paint jobs for one ship but not another and half a dozen lame looking decals.

Personally i thought the xmas paint catalogue was utter pants. Some vector graphics and lots of chrome?! Havent they got any imagination whatsoever!

A decal with "Soon tm" would be very nice
Not-mirrored is how they should be (or at least default to). They appear to be intended as symbols, not racing-stripes. You would mirror racing-stripes, but you would never mirror the "FedEx" logo
(There are exceptions; some logos are designed to be integrated with a structure's bodywork (unlike decals, which are for any empty surface) and so need to be reversible, but generally speaking, symbols and logos aren't mirrored. That said, many of the decals are enough like airline logos (which traditionally include something designed to be reversible on their aircraft tailfin) that yeah, I could see them being reversible. Symmetry takes a back seat to structure though; it's only when the structure is symmetrical and the symbol is too tightly integrated with the structure that you are forced against all better judgement to draw a symbol backwards. The game decals are too small to be defined by the structure, they're like labels rather than paint jobs)

Drawing logos their correct way around might be triggering for people with OCD for symmetry, but drawing logos backwards can be triggering for the graphic designers. So no-matter which way anyone does it, someone is going to end up twitching

My disappointment with the new decals is that they aren't for the major and Powerplay factions. I want to display my support for the Empire and the Emperor, dang it!
OMG, a Buckyball decal would be A.W.E.S.O.M.E.
