Open-Only in PP2.0?

There, you started to crouch assuming the position to kiss the feet!
So it is true...
This is the position to kiss feet:

It's a quote from the Mobius page telling you why the need your email address.
Sorry, I think that the developers know what they are doing and are unlikely to tell anyone the e-mail address of the Frontier account.

I also admit that the creators of Mobius did not intend anything bad, but only through ignorance use the form of authorization through mail, which in this case is not necessary, and misleads paranoid people like me.

It's like watching my dog chase its tail.
Round and around, and around, and around.

I think Frontier encourage it, to distract people from the lack of effort they put into the development game.
If they go any slower with the development, we can change its name to "Elite Citizen". :p :D

Well FD have suddenly found devs behind the sofa cushions, so things have accelerated some.....

Elite will never be as slow or bad as SC, its actually a 'Game'.
In recent months the amount of stuff done by Fdev in Elite has been pretty amazing to be fair.

So Frontier is thinking about breaking their kickstarter promise that all the content would be available to everyone no matter if they play solo, PG or open? Yikes.

Sorry I don't quite understand what is meant in this place by the words: content ?
Explain: For example, I have a swarm shooting turret. It is not available to me as a turret in single player mode. But it can work as a turret in PG and Open.

If it makes for a better feature, why not? As long as everyone has something that suits each mode you can't complain- the issue is that barebones gameplay smeared over three modes is expected to 'work'.

Sandro first mooted the possibility of a bonus for Open play, in relation to Powerplay only, back in March 2016, followed by the Powerplay Flash Topics of May 2018 (where one possible option was Open only, again for Powerplay only) - so the possibility of content being weighted towards Open (or for Solo and Private Groups to have no effect on it) is not new.

If Powerplay 2.0 were to be able to be played in Solo and Private Groups, with no effect on the feature, then that would meet the letter of what many consider to be promises from back in the Kickstarter days, without meeting the spirit. Noting that it would actually break the single player promise:
Elite Dangerous Kickstarter FAQ: How will single player work said:
The galaxy for Elite: Dangerous is a shared universe maintained by a central server. All of the meta data for the galaxy is shared between players. This includes the galaxy itself as well as transient information like economies. The aim here is that a player's actions will influence the development of the galaxy, without necessarily having to play multiplayer.

It remains to be seen whether Powerplay 2.0 will be Open only / Open weighted. Noting that doing so will likely have unfortunate consequences for Open play in general, e.g. pad blocking becoming a not-easily-avoidable tactic and CMDR blocking still being a thing (as I don't expect for a minute that Frontier will remove it for Powerplay).

We'll see, in time, as usual.

I'm not worried about it either. Just as long as my blacklist can accommodate all the players against me :)
