Operation: Eyes in the Dark - A DSSA Deployment Event

I won't leave the FC until 12/12 just in case haha. By the way, the FC will be stationed there for ever?
Haha, we'll be going a little slower during the week if you do decide to hop off!

The exact system is potentially still TBC, but it'll be within a couple of hundred light years of the listed system. The plan is it'll then stay there for at least 4 years, acting as a known location for any distant explorer who needs it.

Day 3! We're making good progress through Hawking's Gap, arriving at the abandoned settlements today, and rendezvousing with DSSA Ironside, who is deployed in-system. Feel free to get out and stretch your legs, or go say hi to our neighbours for the night, jumps will resume 2300 IGT Tuesday.

Day 4 finds us on the edge of a black hole! We've now entered into Norma Expanse, and are parked up at Slenguia LC-V e2-4, also known as Leviathan's Lair. Now we're a little further outside the bubble, there should be some unexplored systems around, not far from the carrier. Jumps will resume 2300 Wednesday.

Day 2, I made my first 'first footfall'... but forgot to bring the flag 😞

Nevertheless, henceforce that planet shall be forever known as "Frog's World", by me at least 😀

Very nice! That's quite a crater! We'll make sure it's known as 'Frog's World' from now on.

Good luck Carrier Commander, though I think you're carrying self-isolation a little too far ;)
You can't be too cautious! I've heard those 'goids are up to something and I want well away!

And speaking of, jumps are now underway for today!

Day 5, and a new planetary nebula, this time around a neutron star! We're now parked up in the Blae Hypai WO-Z e6 system, (seen from within the rings of the water world in the neighbouring Blae Hypai SD-Z d1-91). This system also hosts one landable planet, and a number of ringed giants. To this extent, I have opened up a number of buy orders for minerals (at gal. av. prices) if anyone has brought mining gear, particularly core-poppers. There is much oppurtinity for exploration of the surrounding systems, with first discovery, mapping, and footfall planets up for grabs. The carrier will remain in system until 2300 Thursday.

Day 6! We're making good progress through Norma Expanse. The carrier is parked up at Nuekea RP-M d8-161 which hosts a trinary earth-like set-up around which is the 'Three of a Kind' tourist beacon. This system is also home to DSSA King's Pass, who is in orbit around the landable planet 5. There should be plenty of nearby exploration to have, and the carrier market will be open for tritium and LTDs if anyone wants to check out the tritium hotspot nearby at Nuekea WL-W B34-12, planet 8. There's also the potential for Beluga hunting at the tourist beacon if you get itchy fingers. The carrier will be resting here for a little longer, with jumping resuming at the earlier time of 2100, but on Saturday.

The trinary earth-likes are the dream story location for any Sci-Fi author; three civilisations staring up at each other across the void.

Meanwhile.... I've been out meeting the locals:

Hopefully they were friendly!

Doing a spot of mining for now, then will start jumping for today in a little under 2 hours from now (2100 IGT)

Day 8! With yesterday being a rest day, today has very much been a day for jumping! We've covered around 5000 Ly and entered another new region, the Arcadian Stream! And our destination for tonight is a little-known planetary nebula in the Dryao Aod TS-U e2-78 system. Prior to our arrival here, only 2 CMDRs had logged this system on EDSM! This means there's plenty of 'firsts' up for grabs within the system and those surrounding it. Feel free to disembark and explore, but remember that the carrier leaves at the again slighlty earlier time of 2100 IGT Sunday.

Day 9! And our longest single leg of the entire journey brings us to another beautiful planetary nebula for the night, known as Child of Time in the Cloomeia FG-Y e95 system. This system is also home to DSSA Heart of Gold, whom we are co-orbiting the primary black hole with, so feel free to stop by and say hi! This is the closest to the core, and hence densest stellar region that we will be in, so if you wish to head out and get some first-tagged systems, here is a good place. But if you do so, remember the carrier will be departing at the later time tomorrow of 2300 IGT Monday.

Day 10! Our last day in Arcadian Stream, before we cross over into our final region of Trojan Belt. Here we are parked up around one of the rare Glowing Green Giants in the Squern AF-N c21-0 system, although this particular one doesn't have much in the way of a glow unfortunately! It'll still count for the codex though, so make sure you give it a quick visit if you're interested. The rings around it also have a couple of hotspots, for tritium and void opals, so the carrier will open up buy orders for a few things for the duration of our stay. This will be until 2300 IGT Tuesday, when we will continue our journey.

Day 11! We've entered the Trojan Belt region, the deployment region for the carrier. Before we finally settle down, we still have a couple of sights left to see, starting with tonight's waypoint of Eock Bluae QL-X c1-1. Here we have both the DSSA Bougainville and the tourist beacon Potential in Secret orbiting an earth-like world in the Hawking's nebula. We're a little way below the plane of the galaxy at the moment, so the stellar density is a little lower, but there should still be plenty around if you want to undock and look about. As usual, we will recommence jumping at 2300 IGT Wednesday.

Day 12! We've climbed over 2000 ly from the floor to the ceiling of the galaxy, and arrived in the Flimbuae GY-P d6-7 system. This is a K-class giant star, and home to the GMP PoI Roche Terminal. This planet, body 1 C a, orbits so close to its parent planet it's practically touching! Also featuring surface features (geological in Horizons, Odyssey untested), it's worth stopping by for a view out into the system and galaxy beyond. From here, we have one more rest stop for which we depart at 2300 IGT Thursday, before we head towards our final destination on Saturday.
