Yeah, getting suck in an elevator alone sucks. It's not like you are stuck with, well, let's say Eleanor Bresa.
Use a rocket launcher or grenade to respawn. I once stuck too. It's that moment of your life, when elevator door opens and you don't want to come out because there's a bunch of NPCs in the lobby shooting everyone who comes out. So you shoot them and hide back in the elevator because they don't shoot back when you are in it. Until the elevator control system decides it's a violations of the elevator's operation manual and shuts the doors with you inside, without any buttons to open the door. Luckily, some other player uses the same elevator shaft, lands onto you and the door opens.
I wonder, did someone try to jump into the elevator with another player already in it? Let's say, on the way from the engineering deck to the habitat deck or even someone's hangar.

Yes, but I don't remember it affecting the elevator music before, I've had the background music turned off for years.
Except it does. I find it amusing that in the middle of all this mayhem we get this cheesy mall music between floors.
