Option to disable protestors

Getting tired of the sound of them. They come the second an animal is hungry and since animals can't feed themselves and keepers can't provide food they are always there. Be good to have an option in settings to turn them off.

If you like you can keep whatever negative "stats" they incur.

I am against it. The protestors tell you that you are doing it wrong, and they are all right, just like the visitors. The only problem is that their tolerance is below zero.

I've seen someone suggest they should come after "x" time has passed and an animal is low on welfare.

They appear to spawn the moment a animal hits low welfare.

I agree that the protesters serve a purpose. Turning them off would make them redundant - they are meant to be heard.

However, the appearance of protesters is not necessarily a sign of poor management. I incurred a bunch of angry sign-bearers when my baby tortoises were too slow and dumb to get to the nearest feeding spots, although by then I had plastered the habitat with food treys and water bowls.

I also called the keeper several times, but he just stood there, glanced at the starving turtles, had no clue what to do, turned around and left.

I tried my utmost to be a Noah to my animals and was punished with a bad rep for alleged neglect - life ain't fair.

Except the right now they don't. They just remind you that the game is flawed. Until animals act properly and are cared for by the AI properly, protesters are just annoying. Especially since they don't seem to really matter much.

You already get a bright red alert when an animal has low welfare, so we already know something's up that we need to fix. I agree with the idea that protesters need to wait a little while before showing up. Right now, they seem to appear within seconds of a low welfare warning.

They show up instantly but seem to take their sweet time in packing up once the animal's welfare has risen.

I agree. My protesters hung around long after my tortoises had been fed, and the negative rep penalty lingered even longer; it took several months to lose steam and disappear.
