Optomized routing or a slider from Fastest to Economical

I want to be able to target a system and get there with the least number of jump, with out refueling. So currently the way it is a system, for example, might be 2 jumps over my capacity when piloting fastest, but then economical takes like three times the number of jumps and leaves me with half a tank. We need a third routing option that optimizes to your destination.

Same suggestion here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=139323

For now, if you have an empty cargo hold - you can use the related slider inside the galaxy map to do just that - if it were unlocked from your actual cargo capacity (just limit your max jump distance) it would do what is needed; although that's manual fiddling for optimization.

Ya that can work but a simple option would be a great addition and doesn't seem like it would take much work. Is there a list where future changes like this are compiled (as suggestions or by FD as on the list)?

Pinned thread in this sub forum.
Actually can't see this suggestion in the Navigation section of it.

Also adding a simple check box like eco/fast might in fact be more 'work' because then the system has to do the iteration work you could do manually via a max jump distance slider.
That in turn would multiply the time it takes to calculate that route by the number of iterations made.

The check box would be convenient of course, but a max jump distance slider would both be more involved for the player optimizing his fsd and be a much quicker implementation you could expect just around the corner, rather than sitting in some wanted features list for years.
