Orange Sidewinder

I did that at least seven or so times last night. All it did was move me a little further away from the planet each time.

Did you really quit the game?
You know that the game still runs in the background if you go to home screen from the game menu, where you see your ship and commander/arx data.
To really quit, while in the home screen with ED tile selected, you need to press the small button above the Right-Stick and select Quit.

I'm insisting on this because it made the difference between me able to play the game in a carrier infested system and re-trying to jump to SC indefinitely.

yea i did that too, i even started another game and then went back to this, did a hard reset & cleared cache
only thing working at the mo is jumping to another system

Yes...and I even rebooted my Xbox a few times too.

According to FDev, "Orange Sidewinder" is usually an issue with your game save, so I assume once the game save is updated (overwritten by a new one), the issue should resolve. By jumping to a new system and coming back and landing on the next planet, I trust that was enough to generate a new save :D

"Orange Sidewinder" is mainly an issue with your game save

What? Based on the error message, it is related to the connection to the "server", either because networking issues or "server" being hammered and not responsive.

This is from the link I attached:

ADDITIONAL INFO:

"The Orange Sidewinder error often (though not always) indicates an issue within your save data, or that you have been temporarily locked out of the server after something went wrong, as a protective measure.

The best course of action when encountering this code for an extended period of time is to raise a support ticket, as we may need to make adjustments on our end."

Whats the point of raising a ticket?
Orange Sidewinder, Purple Python, Scarlet Krait, blue tunnels etc etc have been a "Feature" of this train wreck for years.
Unless its a credit spike they couldn't care less how broken it is.

The only way any of this will ever get fixed is if someone figures out how to make a profit from it.

Im still getting half a dozen crashes per session.
Not ideal for multi-wing squad battles

My buddy and I were farming mats last night at shard sites. Just before I left the planet surface, we winged up so he could follow me to the next location.

Once I initiated SC, I had an "Orange Sidewinder" event. The last number times I had Orange Sidewinder happen, I was in a wing.

I believe that being in a wing may contribute to this particular issue now.

mine decided to forget I had the horizons expansion and wouldn't let me land on planet, hard reset and the games menu screen shows as horizon but still no planetary landing, took a couple of resets cache clearing, loading other gams and going back before it came back
