Out of Fuel? - Explorer Rescue Service, The Fuel Rats

NO NO NO ! "Paperwork" is for Bureaucracies. What we want is stories with details and screenshots and videos and awesome ! suspense, disbelief, hope and fear, crushing intensity !

Rat after my own heart! 'Paperwork' has been done though...one does not miff-off the One-Eyed One.

Will upload today...now, it may seem routine to you but the cr@p I had to deal with had me bug-eyed, sweaty palmed and hyperventilating in heart pounding fear! I was 98% scared and 2% excited...or was it 98% excited and 2% scared...I don't know, but that's what made it so intense!

Well it isn't really a thread that dies. Its kind of where the FR's or people wanting to discuss the FR's and their rescues and news do so.

Errr, has anyone else seen this week's community spotlight?

If I was being critical I'd say there are one or two typo's and that thing with the space between !'s and ?'s :D But in general this is made of awesome and long may it continue! Great work Kerenn :)

Edit: In other news I'm back in the game now after some real life problems and am building a bankroll for my exploration trip when Horizons drops. I plan to be out for a long long time so will be taking a good 40+ limpets plus a load of SRV's and providing periodic updates on where I am in case any long range calls come in.

So I recently got miself back into the Bubble and dug out my orange Rat-a-Cobra from Galileo's storage facilities. They had stuffed it behind the planetary shuttles and out-of-business pizza delivery haulers. Same scrappy paintjob with added rust here and there.

She booted up proper and I spent couple days zooming and zipping in pop space. Big plans etc. Trading was bit boring, so I bought an Eagle and decided to land on an asteroid. 'twas fun. Afterwards I hopped back to ol' Orangé Rattatata and started scouting some juicy pristine rings.

Then I heard the sound I so many times heard when I was out there in the void exploring and observing the Fuel Rat rescues channel. The Signal, and this time I was on duty. System info came: Tascheter Sector HR-M A7-0. "Sounds familiar, let's see..." Clicked the system to route computer and bingo: two jumps away!

"2j, omw" I told the dispatcher and in a quick swoosh I was in the system. Received comms, saw the distress beacon and dropped near the client Vulture. Them had scoop and was quite experienced pilot. Had just made a slight err and ended up into an unscoopable system. Served 'em fuel, took the pictures and wished commander safe flyings.

Oh the joy!

Thanks for the services, you are a credit to mankind. On a separate note, are you a writer? Or are you speaking in the dialect of a borderland system? :D

Just a quick thank you in verse....

An Ode to the Fuel Rats

Lost in the Lonely,
So far from home
The stars I sought
Far from reach;
My one escape
Destructioin.
Blackness surrounded,
Devouring, waiting.
But then!
Called by an arcane art
Like lean, bewhiskered
Angels
The Fuel Rats!
Streaking from the Great Dark,
Hearekning to the call,
Asking nothing, giving life,
Ravenov to the rescue!
With patience, craft
And diligence,
My Asp returned to like
And with a new wing flying
I shot like lightning
To Te Kaha,
There to lay a weary
And grateful head.
All hail Ravenov!
All hail the Fuel Rats!
May their legend linger
Past all dry fumes
And burning stars
Beyond our range and reach.

We have a client 25 kylies from Sol on the vague direction of Sagittarius A*.

***Update 1***

And we have a trio on way! Legend.

***Update 2***

Ever heard this one:

Global mischief.
