Out of Fuel? - Explorer Rescue Service, The Fuel Rats

A tee shirt in our loot with the names of every CMDR in the first 10k saved on it. Who will forever be known as "The 10k". Not sure if we have that data though or how we can get it as a genuine list.

The name of the saved Commanders are not recorded by default in paperwork, so it would be hard to collect them I assume.
The name of the Rats involved would be another matter of course.

Kerenn, xlexious etc: I will mail you the poster which is about to be finished, so you have it when we break 10 000.

EDIT Father Cool: Excellent thing to look forward to! Take out the BIG paint buckets! :D

The merchandise rats have been busy and finally shipped the Euro MKI mug to SOL for immediate shipping from Amazon UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01C5XWH6E

Fuel Rat MkI Euro Mug.jpg

Stickers are available too.

And it will be available from Amazon.de, .fr, .it and .es soon(tm) - although still shipped from the UK.

If you are not in the UK and shipping seems expensive, PM me here or #Ratchat to see if I can ship direct more cost effectively.

I thought I'd come to the horses mouth. Fuel Rat type dudes, if you could dock to another ship, and transfer fuel (slowly) via that method? - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=238907

Good or bad?

I've suggested cargo transfer, materials transfer and even AMFU repairs could happen across the docked ships too. But ignoring those and just sticking to an alternative (slower) means of transferring fuel to another ship?

If it involves rescuing people by transferring fuel, we'd probably do it. But only if it worked better than our current way of rescuing people by transferring fuel.
The suggestion is it (docking one ship to another) would be a slow means of transferring fuel across to another ship. Limpets would be far faster. Docking and then pumping fuel over would be far slow, but at least offer a method of doing it without limpets.

I'd also suggest when docked, other mechanics were offered too. Even possibly allowing your AMFUs to repair another ships modules for example. Also transfer cargo (& materials?) over.

In short just ways for CMDRs to interact more in the hope more interesting game play might offer itself.

I like the docking idea. Would be a nice feature in general when walking about ships comes into being. Going over to your pals ship for a coffee anyone? Haha. It would maybe lead to ship designs that when docked become a bigger more capable ship as a whole? Need extra cargo space for a mission? Team up with a buddy and take the mission as a combined ship. Need more firepower? Same. Need a longer jump distance? Hard link the jump drives and create a more powerful space warp. I can see Fuel Rat benefits as mentioned but combined ship roles would be awesome!

This week in the Kerenn's Report : Nothing. Again.

Things to do this Week :

I know it's still a while yet but can we have a roll call. I'll be there with my, ahem, promotional items.

P.S. and I'd also like to put together an Artemis team.
