I was going to go and cosplay as my in game character however July is an expensive month for me. Two of my kids birthdays and a modelling exhibition that I am demoing at plus an Imax viewing of the new star trek film for the whole family. My pockets are only so deep!

Hey guys. I signed up on the website. I want to be a fuel rat.
I am currently out in the Pleiades. I know. not that far but I will be working my way out from here. My ship has a 500ly range on one tank. Looking forward to helping out.

The Pleiades sector has a nice collection of T's and Browns all bunched up, that's what caught me out in my Sidey, so I'll guess you can still get customers, that "near"

2300ly from home, screaming towards the bubble, a Cmdr's mind can become dulled. After many weeks in the black, and happily distracted by thoughts of Fujin Tea, and of corn swaying lazily in the breeze of the air-con of my favourite Orbis station, I know I need to refuel, but I'll do it in a minute...haha, Office Space, haven't seen this in ages...

Ah.
But on the bright side I got to see firsthand just how effective the Fuel Rats are! Onto the website, a rat assigned and despatched within minutes. Despatch talked me through the transfer procedure whilst the rat was en route to the 'long range rescue', and an hour and a half later I'm neck deep in lovely yummy fuel. I even got to have a nice chat.
Totally saved the last month of my life. Cashed in just under 33mil worth of data an hour later.
To anyone nervous about calling them, or who thinks it's a lot of hassle, it's just not. I can't believe such a thing exists. Cmdr Rubberpsycho, and everyone else at the team, I salute you.

- I have come within a whisker of having to call the Fuel Rats on several occasions, but just managed to avoid it . Knowing they are out there though is a massive weight of of one's shoulders.
- They are amazing. I called them for the first time a couple of days ago. I'd run out of fuel around robigo somewhere and they got to me within 15 mins. Even taught me how to filter my route so it would only show fuel-scoopable stars. It's run better than some businesses I've recently had to deal with [smile]

Having finished my morning shift ferrying students from Exigus around a variety of local tourist hotpots ...
... I jump back into my Cobra to begin scouting locations for my own upcoming Buckyball Race ...
No sooner have I begun than a ratsignal lights up and I'm on my way.
Just 11 minutes later and salvation for the stranded Viper is at hand.

I'm in. Just need to get a Cobra for the task though. Probably will be able to start ratting tomorrow. Just a quick question, Does the fuel rats have a TeamSpeak server?
And ... what for? We have Discord ... while I feel the IRC is vastly satisfying already
Also, too many comm channels in parallel are not always helpful.

I'm interested in offering my services as a rat. (It'd be the excuse I need to get a DBX in a role that isn't exploration, which I'm looking for)
