I'd like an Anaconda paintjob too.
Also like WWII fighter jets, things like a mini picture of a PYTHON with roman numerals (for kills next to it), eg. a little picture of each ship type you've killed with a score or IIIIs next to it.
Would look cool.

There is some concept art of Anaconda skins, so it's not beyond FD to do it.

They should simply outsource the skins.

Let players at the graphics tool that allows paintjobs to be made, have them submitted. The "winners" (insert preferred method of selection here) get a cut of all sales of that skin.

It means FD only have to approve skins, rather than make them (faster, less resources), and they would flow thick and fast for all ships.

I made plenty of skins for my cars in the various Forza games on Xbox, if a skin paint designer can be included in a console game, it can't be that hard for a PC.

Seriously...

Would be a better system if you had to pay to upload your own skin instead of the limited choice offered by FD.

Or this.

I'd pay 5 brit pounds to upload my own skin per ship. Allow 3 for a tenner...

The money goes towards paying for someone to ensure no one does something stupid.

My guess would be because Ship modles and textures you see out of your cockpit have nothing to do with anything you outfit. As far as I can tell an Eagles Wing always looks green/grey ish no matter what paint job you use.

As much as I like the 1950's tone of the paintjob, as it matches the retrofuture Fallout look of the ride, we need moar paint for this puppy. A nice deep red would look classy on it, methinks.

MergeEdit: This is in regards to the Adder.

Active/Animated/Stealth PaintJobs!!

Hi!
I have a (good?) idea in the shower...
Have Active/Animated/Stealth PaintJobs to sell in the store or win as prize.
The aim of the paintjob is to make the ship more difficult to see...
You can make an animated paintjob to cover the ship with the stars it's overshadowing from the point of view of the target you're battling.
The "paint" must be an array of lights in the same sense of an stadiums/theater video-walls
This way your ship will get visually transparent (but not for the scanners...) in the parts "painted" (not the hot or glass surfaces).
Developers already have the data necessary to make this happen...
The position of the target to calculate what star your ship is overshadowing to turn on the lights on the surface of your ship to make it invisible...
It must take some energy from the ship...
Ship background must be black covered with the videowall array...

Surely this is how the chrome paint schemes should work anyway?

They would just reflect the colour of the environment round them which most of the time would be the blackness of space with a few stars (unless they caught the reflection of a nearby planet or star obviously)
