Pandering to the loudest - it has boiled my pee

I've played this game since launch and love it even with all its faults.


I am not an intentional criminal and I am now having a whinge myself.


In major trafficked areas there was an issue. It was a problem in the 'infested' areas only and it was a loudly shouted about issue.... why not just ban the bargers and griefers to their own instance. Or space is mahoosive if your are being pirated or griefed then errrr move. Don't like the neighbours either kill them yourself or move! It's actual rocket science - you have a space ship with an FSD.:eek:

If you're being griefed move 6 or 7 systems up/down/left/right etc and your free of physco's.



If killed someone who I thought was wanted and got a bounty...ok I messed up
I left my beams on and an NPC got into position in front of them... ok I messed up

why cant I pay off these property damage bounties as double the fine :mad: (like I used to) cos some school kids bumped a few people into station walls, who then ran screaming blue murder to the teacher and the tuck shop was closed to make everyone pay!


I have rage re-started, quit my ExAsp and 60 million+ in the bank - genuine thanks to PP as I didn't like you, maybe it was my lack of understanding or preparation..... maybe your just poorly thought out. I restarted with my Sidey and loved it. Now I'm currently ranking up and you keep giving me the odd bounty. I don't kill or break the law on purpose. In the days of slavery, honour and massive corporations we should be able to pay,compensate or bribe off these minor infractions/property damage its not murder if the NPC re-appears as do CMDRs.



So.......................Do I wait 5 days not bother playing and pay off the fines or do I restart again? Yes?No or rage quit then re-install?

As you said in your opening, just go somewhere else. Only the minor faction that the bounty was placed by will pursue you, just leave the systems they control and your golden.

You keep playing like normal. It's just a bounty. My transactions tab on most days...

Perhaps take some of your own advice, and just move 6 or 7 systems away where you're not wanted ?

Your space ship has an FSD and all that ?

The only thing I can suggest (too late, but hopefully better late than never) is to stop shooting when you get that initial assault bounty, as you can pay that off in seven minutes.

As far as not playing for five days, remember that you are only wanted by one minor faction in a specific system, so you can always hop to another system and carry on with a clean status. Anyone who attacks you for your bounty in a system where it isn't 'live' will become wanted themselves.

I didn't get an assault charge but did get a murder charge.

I have moved systems but I find it infuriating that I am a law breaker. I think a change of my in game attitude is required.

Yeah not being able to pay off bounties es me off too. Why does a bounty persist through death when a bounty voucher doesn't? Makes no sense. And further than that, totally discourages PP undermining which I tried briefly until I figured out there was no way to clear the bounty it gives you.

That in itself is a bit strange, as it's unusual to kill / destroy a ship with the first shot, and that first shot to a clean target gets you a bounty of between 200 and 400 credits, which will time out in seven minutes. You should definitely see that assault bounty flash up in the top right corner of your HUD, so keep an eye out for it.

Enjoy your time as a law breaker, it'll be over before you know it. ;)

:) scanned as wanted, KWS'd it shot it down, he was in a wing of 3 but I made sure it was the wanted target. Nothing came up. I watch for it, then boom murder charge. Everyone turned red and I ran away!!

Sitting in Vega, may have to visit SgrA again only in a Cobra.

Ah well, you might want to ticket that with support as a bug. If you've scanned it and KWS'd it then there is no way you should have got a bounty for it. There is a known bug that on occasions you hit a scanned wanted ship and get the assault bounty, it's happened to me twice, but what you are describing I've not heard of.
