It means you can prop up your position with pedantry.I was having a thought, rare as that is, on the pay to win argument and have a question. If the reason it's not pay to win is because there is no final win state, doesn't that mean every multiplayer game that doesn't crown the highest spender then shut down effectively cannot have pay to win by that metric?
What does pay to win actually mean if individual confrontations and indirect competition have no bearing?
Life is the ultimate P2W experience.I don’t understand. What is a life to get on with?
Oh you mean drinking!Allegedly it is that thing one does when not playing games, eating, sleeping or using the lavatory...
I think the difference is star citizen has always had it. Elite has been championed for a long time for not having it and indeed I suspect a number of players who refused to buy into sc because of it may have specifically picked elite.it's interesting to watch elite players melt down while sc players are mostly supportive of the same business model. at the end of the day, in a game as vast as this, a few dudes flying pythons (or whatever) a couple months ahead of everyone else isn't going to make any difference to my gameplay, so have at it.
Are you implying that I'm lacking a life?Allegedly it is that thing one does when not playing games, eating, sleeping or using the lavatory...
And that is good?In no universe ever is a basic arx bought ship going to beat another commander flying a fully engineered FDL or Mamba.
"Ohhh, We're half way there!"
why are they afraid of a newbie getting a bit of a head start over other newbies?
For me personally, I think its a great idea. Where I draw the line is if they have access to a feature you can only get by paying for it, that gives them an advantage that isn't possible to get just by playing the game, even if it's temporary "early access".I don't get it, why are they afraid of a newbie getting a bit of a head start over other newbies?
It would appear, from information we have been given, that only those who own Odyssey will be able to have the newest ship(s?) to buy for credits, in-game, at some point. Live 4.x players need to open their Arx stash if they desire them, which seems odd... (And, naturally, as Legacy is in stasis evermore, they will never get shiny, new, toys to play with)Where I draw the line is if they have access to a feature you can only get by paying for it, that gives them an advantage that isn't possible to get just by playing the game,
Up for debate if players should be allowed to skip grind, but given thats a big moan about the game I'd have to say its fine. And that is good?
It's been "confirmed" by multiple EA streamers, but yes, not confirmed by FDEV. P2 will have A, everyone else will have C "until later".Us players have to wait a few more days to see if the 'new' "A" class SCO FSDs are going to be in game... Interesting times ahead?
Imo, there shouldn't be any kind of power creep items in a competitive game that allow players to easily crush "lesser" equipped players. Whether that gear is behind a grind or paywall isn't any relevance.Up for debate if players should be allowed to skip grind, but given thats a big moan about the game I'd have to say its fine.
It clearly shows that PvP won't in anyway be effected and people associate pay2win with PvP domination.
If I get to Elite in combat or trade and have a bigger ship than you and we neve run into eachother does that really effect you?
And you can augment your argument with alliteration! It means you can prop up your position with pedantry.
