If it has an extra hardpoint, that means an odd number - 5. So hopefully it has a centreline one
1. No specs?
2. The winglets are meh. The "teeth", I find them horrible. That protruding "nose", ugly and unneeded. The Cobra MK III has such a clean, distinguished shape, adding extra bits sticking out of it doesn't make it look better or cooler in my view, just somewhat convoluted and arbitrary.
3. Here is hoping the exclusive Gamescom paintjob is equally bad, then I won't miss it at least.
I hope to offset its extra hardpoint and whatever else it has (better power distributor most likely, to support the extra gun), it is heavier slower and less agile than the Cobra MK III, so that it does not compete for that specific niche, and rather compete with the Asp in terms of combat capabilities.

Anyway here's my prediction as to the big question of "Will my Cobra paintjobs be available in the Livery section in Outfitting for the Mk.IV"....
FDEV won't mention it for now and then they'll deal with the next fire when it happens when they inevitably announce that existing Cobra Mk.III paintjobs won't be in the Livery menus for the Mk.IV

David Braben stated that the original intention was for the existing skins to work on the new Cobra IV but that he wasn't sure whether that was still the case and would check.

@Mephane, the extra bits will be to make it easily distinguishable from the Cobra III.

I imagine the scene between Tuvok and Paris designing the Delta Flyer, but instead of insisting that these ridiculous "style fins" are unnecessary and should not be included, Tuvok would give up and let Paris have his way.
Or the muppet episode from Stargate, where the general insists the gate must spin because "spinning is cool".
Someone at FD said "just add some cool bits, like winglets and teeth" and no one dared to speak up (or did so and was ignored) that the design of the MK III is just fine, thank you, and don't needs to be ruined.
(For the record, I also hate the spoiler on the Imperial Eagle and find its nacelles far too bulky.)
Indeed that was the case - it looked very much like they were caught on the hop for that particular question, even though it was inevitably going to be asked as it's a rather obvious one that would come up.

Nice ship, but it looks a bit too similar to the Mk III. It needs a different profile to tell it apart from the current model quickly. Maybe just make the back a bit longer? Or if it's supposed to be chunkier, then add some bulk around the middle.
