"Pet" marked animals

I don't think it will be possible to build this kind of Enclosure for an Animal because it was a Pet. I think a Tiger or a Chimpanzee would still defend his/her territory against unfamiliar People. So I think it will only be possible with Animals that don't would act aggressive if someone is in there

Yes very interesting.. I'm interested in finding out more with the animals that were pets as they have a rehome option in the menus as well..

Can someone post a screenshot or at least a reference link to where this "pet" designation was seen?

Since each animal is listed individually in the market I think it would be interesting if they came with a back story, though we haven't seen any evidence of this yet. Conversely from a logistics standpoint this story is likely to be terribly redundant and cliche. While I applaud Planet Zoos goal to educate the general public while playing this game I really hope that a minimum they do not further disseminate false information. I firmly believe that exotic animals should not be kept as pets. Because these animals are inappropriate, high maintenance pets most owners end up trying to get rid of them after a few years. Many people then petition zoos to "rescue" or even buy their exotic pets, often with the presumptuous attitude that they are doing the zoo a favor. Large zoos can literally get multiple of the requests per day. They obviously cannot afford to house or feed all of these unwanted animals. AZA zoos almost never acquire "pet" animals. These animals do not have a documented pedigree and therefore cannot be used for breeding, thus there inclusion in a zoo takes up valuable space without any breeding prospects or potential to further the species. Not to mention many of the serious nutritional and behavioral deficits that "pet" animals acquire while kept in inappropriate domestic environments.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not let people think they can go out and buy some "cute" baby animal and then when they get sick of caring for it dump it on a zoo to live happily ever after. There are some sanctuaries that will take these animals, but not nearly enough for the number of exotic abandoned pets, and a large number of those so called sanctuaries are scams that exploit animals or cannot afford to provide adequate care.

When he is in the transfer market, you see on the right information like "pet", "rescue", "Zoo", "customs seizure" etc. There it also actually says with pets, that they can not be released into the wild.

I'm looking forward to what the other statuses or destinations will mean for us as zoo owners. I can imagine that animals that are taken form the wild are harder to keep, because they are maybe more aggressive or a lot harder to entertain. I must say, I first cringed when I saw that some animals were taken from the wild. But realistically we have a very small gene pool in zoos, so even if it is not make public, I guess catching animals from the wild is still a prcedure that is sometimes made. Poor animals...

What really makes me happy is, that I can develop my story of a zoo that started as a shelter for unwanted pets and custom seizures and slowly developed into a zoo that is actively taken part in a breeding program.

I really don't think frontier will trivilaize wild animals that are kept as pets. I'm sure there will be a learning around it that animals are best kept in the wild or in good zoos. We shouldn't forget that Frontier is based in England. The laws of keeping animals are much more strict there then they are in countries where it's actually legal to keep wild animals, such as tigres or bears. Actually, most eruopean countries only see "pet bears" etc. on TV. Here in germany we can't stop shaking our head about it, honestly.
