Newcomer / Intro Pilot Name

When you first choose your Pilot name, can you ever change it?

What about if you reset your save? Does that open your pilot name for anyone to take, or is it bound to your account?

Is there any way to have more than one pilot?

No you can't change it (allthough I think if you message FD and ask them if you can, then they'll let you?) But no, once you've set it once, it's your name. It doesn't reset with a save reset either. The name is bound to your account, not the 'commander' slot.

n future we will be able to have three commander slots. I presume a unique name for each one.

actually you can change your pilot name when you clear your save, I used a name that I would pick for a game forum and thought that since its a brand new game, I can actually make up a name that has less of a chance being taken duen to being a new game so I cleared my save and when i started a new one, it asked me for a new pilot name Zapp Rowzdower! saw the name in a very very horrible old movie, and I thought the name was atrocious for the movie it was used in, but always thought it would be a cool sci fi name

Ah, so eventually they are allowing up to three commanders at once? That will be great. Different loadouts, or one to have more fun with, or just let a friend play with.

Thanks for this confirmation! Glad to know I could change it at any time if I clear my save.
