PBSF are a growing (140+ members) security force based around the starter systems and with satellite group hubs located in the region up to roughly 250ly

We are a PVP/PVE group and we run our own CMDR Kill On Sight list for wanted CMDRS (greifers & anybody who is deemed a CMDR killer outside of Powerplay etc.). We are recruiting going forward and already have a strong team of experienced pilots as well as some trainees who have just started with their own ship.

As well as elimination of wanted felons, we also offer a winged escort service for traders and miners, for the regular bonus wing credits supplied when dropping off merchandise. Each pilot on our roster will be handed details of the protectee and requested to wing up, regardless of callsign

We are ao official player group and own a station in game with our Minor Faction which is again growing steadily.

We are currently only accepting pilots who
a) Have a legitimate Facebook profile
b) Are ranked at either competent (combat), or dealer (trade) or surveyor (Exploration) or higher

1 - Please let us know your Gamertag
2 - Please show an in game screenshot of your current Combat/Trade/Exploration ranks with GT
3 - Sign up at www.inara.cz
4 - Join the PBSF wing at www.inara,cz/wings/216 and www.fb.com/groups/pbsfx

Apologies for the paperwork required (and believe me when I say it adds more to our end as well) however for a number of reasons we're now required to be a little stricter when adding users to our growing force.

If you need to contact us you can get in touch via Galactic Mail pbsfHQ@gmail.com or posting on this thread. Please read below to catch up on the PBSF lore and get in touch if you have any questions

The history of the Pixel Bandits Security Force is a long one, and it has not always been the shining example of interstellar law which can be seen today. Through the 176 years since its formation in 3125, allegations of corruption and police brutality were not a stranger to the desks of the Commanders in charge. With strong political ties, these charges were swept under the carpet, backhanders in darkened station corridors meant that freedom could be bought, for a price. The rich got richer and the poor, stealing for necessity were condemned to serve time in overcrowded and unsanitary prison complexes.

The commanders in charge ensured that once a small, lightweight brown package was received, vital evidence would disappear from secure lockups, mistakes would be made on paperwork, anything possible to sully the case and have it thrown out. If there were questions asked, it would rarely be the captains in the firing line, instead detectives and evidence handlers were unceremoniously canned, all in the public eye. Those in charge grew fatter, living lifestyles more and more extravagant, all paid for by the men and women they had a duty to put behind bars.

When they recruited Christopher ‘Cap’ Anaidni back in 3265 at the tender age of 18, little did they know that this private would eventually be their downfall. Going up against the High Council directly would have been a mistake. Like those accused of making case breaking errors, refusal to play into the schemes of the OWSLA would get you thrown off the force, or worse a one way ticket to the prison complex, full of inmates with grudges to bear.

Cap went about things in his own way, he played the long game. Year after year he gathered evidence, rising up the ranks and collecting an audio clip here, G-mails there he put together a case spanning three and a half decades and incorporating each member of the high council as well as a number of public figures in the media and politics. Every shady deal was neatly filed away, every assassination the media blamed on a religious fanatic, every accident attributed to an officer’s mistake, Cap brought it all out.

The people rebelled. Corruption had been as good as known, but with this evidence there was no stopping the revolution of 3300. The government of the time had no comeback, and toppled like a house of cards in a hurricane. The citizens, backed by the incorruptibles within PBSF, led the charge. Almost as soon as it began, it was all over. Empty government buildings and a lack of trust from the citizenry meant that even those politicians with no blood on their hands had no chance. There was only one man who could be trusted with the job of leading [REDACTED] Terminal into the new age.

With a new age came a new name. The first act taken by the newly promoted Captain Christopher Anaidni was a change to the station itself. [REDACTED] Terminal, a name reeking of finality, was to be reborn with a title its denizens could be proud of, and one which made sure the station would forever remain looking toward the future. [REDACTED] Vision was born and, with no official government an agreement was made between the Citizens and the new Pixel Bandits Security Force to keep the police state in power for the future.

It has been a solar year, so far, since the police state was declared, and [REDACTED] has never been safer, it’s citizens never happier. When Cap Anaidni was promoted by the populace to the rank of Captain he rebuilt the shattered PBSF from the ground up. Shaking out the corrupt pilots and installing a new High Council of OWSLA who w ork tirelessly to keep the PBSF and the citizens of REDACTED on the straight and narrow. With a growing base of pilots, expanding daily, all Cap currently wants to know is, do YOU have what it takes?

Hey bud, play time and skill aren't an issue. it would be a pleasure to have you in. as mentioned in our post, we're run through facebok as it's free and hosts well. if you head to www.fb.comgroups/pbsfx and request entry we'll get your PBSF ball rolling

I have made a Facebook account for the express purpose of joining your association. However I cannot seem to use the link you supplied. I have attempted to search for your group using my extremely limited knowledge of Facebook. Due to my own ignorance of the website, I cannot seem to find it. If I could acquire some assistance in this matter I would be extremely grateful.

Sorry Wizzard. Let me try that again

www.facebook.com/groups/pbsfx

should work for you

And thanks, Calico Jack. RP is a large part of what we do, so we need a backstory.

Ps. Sorry, Spending too much time reading pratchett atm.

Wizard is (of course) how you spell your name. apologies for that.

Sorry about that. I actually ended up figuring it out, I'm just away from home right now and I didn't want to apply at a time when I couldn't actually play the game.

That's ok. Join whenever you can / want to. We're no a "you have to play every day and kick ass" kind of clan. we're more about teamwork and above all having a good time (as well as protecting the new cmdrs to the galaxy!)

mxcross2002

M
good idea , thats how you create immersive game play right there , take rep CMDR

Thanks Goose. What's your name on there? We have a load of information available in the group files which you should see upon entering via the files menu or on the elipsis - view group info - group files menu if on mobile.

so far we have

KOS List (A wanted list of known CMDR criminals, to be killed on sight). Once CMRDS on the KOS list have been taken out KEW medals are awarded against the user's service record and the Wanted CMDR is considered rehabilitated (Until they offend again)

Roster. Our growing list of pilots, just over 100 now, all split into wings of four. the wings are mostly honorific, to give each pilot their own callsign. People are free to wing up with anybody to take patrols etc. or form their own custom wing with three friends.

KEW Medal list. Again mostly honorific but only way (at the moment, until they let us move money between cmdrs) to congratulate CMDRs. KOS Executive Warrant medals are given to any pilots who bring a criminal CMDR on the KOS list to justice.

Terminology - Lots of in game terms that the layman may not know. a couple of examples

- "Padlocked" - To have an enemy firmly within your sights
- "Zero-Dark-Thirty" After midnight - before sunrise
- "My fun meter is pegged" - I am not enjoying this anymore
- "Bohica" - Shortened form of "Bend Over Her It Comes Again"

We also have a couple of recruitment videos up and about on the Pixel Bandits youtube channel as well as the start of our ED user guides at www.youtube.com/pixelbandits though this channel is not PBSF exclusive, but rather our PB as a whole youtube.

this seems like a group i would be interested in joining but i dont have facebook and have no real interest in joining facebook. :/

I can understand. Unfortunately we need somewhere we can firstly keep track of everything and secondly make sure that only our members have access to our roster. We have a couple of pilots who have literally just made a facebook account, no friends or anything, and just use it to view the group and information, events and post up about when they're online.

If you DO decide to create such a profile, let me know what name you give it otherwise the profile might get blocked by other admins

[EDIT] in talks with other group leaders now to see what management styles they are running to see if there's anything that would let us get off facebook
