Planet Coaster 2: Speculation and Rumors

Yes. There's another park building game I play (I don't know if I can mention it here) that no matter what biome you build your park in, you can select the ground textures from all of the biomes and paint away in your park.
There's a LOT of systems and features in that game I hope that Frontier have implemented something similar in Planco 2.
And talking of terrain textures, it'd be brilliant if we got stuff like concrete, asphalt, paving tiles etc for making thing like car parks and other urban type areas

Yes Nemmie!

And it would be fantastic if their terrain texture selection had terrain textures that matched the path textures with the concrete, asphalt, etc.

And invisible paths...although I recall they could sometimes be problematic if you wanted to remove all of them in previous games...

Here is my "wishlist" that is somewhat realistic.

Most of the non-themed or vanilla rides back, like the ferris wheels, maybe a new variant, the Hyper Spin (Tilt-A-Whirl), Scrambler, the Round-Up, Zipper, etc.
Lazy rivers we are getting.
Most tracked rides back and some new ones, like the trains, car rides, etc.
Larger buildable area but able to adjust "owned" area in scenario editor like the first game.
Fireworks.
Log flume, rapids (with waterfalls that affect guests like RCT3) large boat splash flume, and other boat rides.
In future expansion packs - Spooky/horror theming, western theming, vintage theming, sci-fi theming, dinosaur theming.
Gravitron, sky swing, slingshot like RCT3.
Mini-golf that you can customize.
Path system for walk-through haunted attractions.
Games to win prizes like the first game like the crane games and maybe even game stands.
Sit-down restaurants.
Better hotel system.
Chairlift and chairlift with cabins and maybe vintage versions as well, the ones in PC1 were based on more modern versions.
Monorail.
The TMTK system back for custom scenery.
Typeable signs like the first game with several or more fonts.
Other ways to make indoor rides dark without a timer that changes the time to night.
First person view as a guest that you control we are getting.
Custom speakers and custom billboards and screens again.
Fun houses.

Great wish list. Will have to wait and see what all will be in the game.

My "mostly" realistic wish list for Planco 2:

Much more customization with building trackless dark rides. Being able to move the ride vehicles in any direction without being limited by a "track", maybe something like you can set down waypoints for the vehicles to follow. Also make it much easier to have them face a very specific direction without having to fight with the angles. And having elevators and drops like Rise of the Resistance would be a massive plus.

Having multiple trackless dark ride vehicles in one group without having to build the ride more than once. Rise of the Resistance / Runaway Railway for example.

Track switches for duel loading stations / Track switches to send coaster trains forwards and backwards

Separate stations for loading and unloading.

Much more efficient loading and unloading, however having staff that check the restraints and more dynamic loading and unloading times would be cool.

Omnimover type rides / Stations with moving walkways

A parade system would be cool. I imagine a work around would be if tracked rides are customizable like flat rides are going to be then that can definitely be a way for us to go about it.

Animatronics not attached to poles

Dark ride vehicles similar to Spider-Man / Transformers at Universal Orlando and Skull Island / Fast and Furious also at Universal Orlando.

Queue length choices. It would be great to build one long queue but only open certain parts of it depending on how busy it is.

Pre-shows.

Ride breakdowns that need evacuations.

Coaster trains or tracked rides that enter the station are able to unload right away without having to wait till the very front of the station.

Dark ride vehicles similar to Dinosaur / Indiana Jones at Disney.

RobertK mentioned customizable signs with several more fonts...how about the ability to add our own fonts? Even if there was a reasonable limit to the number we could add...

Darkrides...
I (we) were hoping to create darkrides in PC but it just possible by faking...

I always wanted light blocking scenery pieces.
Only open areas or windows should be translucent. It could look nicely from an outside view if buildings are lighted from the inside and you could see that trough the windows...

That's what I want as well, the ability to make the inside of buildings dark in the daytime without setting timers or making it 10 PM on the clock. And more car options as well. More variants of 2 seater cars than just the Pretzel spinning cars (Hoax). But, we might not get spooky/horror theming until later as an add-on that you pay for. Just like the first PC.

There have been rumors about a possible Planet Coaster 2. If this does happen, Frontier would need some new features to make people want to buy it compared to Planet Coaster.
List your ideas here!
YO!!!! THEY RELEASED IT!!! (Just the announcement) And they ARE adding many things, and the main marketing campaign was there are going to be WATER PARKS!!!

I guess I'm going to have to keep PC1 installed to do my dark ride stuff if PC2 has no horror/spooky stuff in the beginning, plus PC1 has the TMTK with a bunch of horror/spooky objects made by users.

I guess we will have to wait till next week. I hope we see a little more than just waterparks. I like them, but I feel like we have already seen quite a lot on them in the trailer and I rlly want to see more on the smoother coasters, new paths and potential darkride vehicle types.

Yes, I hope more is revealed than just what we saw. I guess gameplay is being shown off a week from now. I like the tropical themes but I hope we get pirate, spooky/horror, western, sci-fi, most of the themes that are in PC1 even if it's add-on packs down the road. And I hope TMTK comes back for at least custom scenery. Personally I would have rather had this be an add-on to the first game but in order to upgrade the Cobra engine they had to start from scratch. I hope then that we get a lot of stuff back from the first game, not sure about the Universal and Cedar Point licensed stuff, and more. I hope we get a lot of rides back from PC1 plus new rides and more variants of existing rides. The overall style and graphics look like PC1 but better.
