Planet Zoo | Americas Animal Pack | Announce

They better not stop their cat addiction now when the next one is the best. We’ve gotten 2/3 of the small cats people requested last year (Pallas, ocelot) now we need (imo) the best one of the 3. Come on frontier one more cat!

In terms of African carnivorans if we could also get the yellow mongoose that would be pretty epic frontier.

How about some kind of Asian mongoose instead?
Or, crazy idea I know, the Ring-Tailed Vontsira of Madagascar.
Indian grey mongoose for the win.

Carnivores i still would like:

  • sigh... Coati (cantbelieveimstillaskingforitafterafreakingamericaspackwhereitshouldhavebeenin)
  • honey badger
  • fishing cat
  • serval
  • yellow throated marten
  • african civets
  • any palm civet
  • Aardwolf
  • Black baked jackal

While the coyote... Definitely exists, I actually can't wait for all the other animals in this pack, especially the Bush Dog.
It was such an unexpected and overlooked inclusion, and the moment it was announced I was kinda mad but after thinking about it for a while I realised that I'm actually really excited for it. It's not the South American carnivore we wanted, but it's a really intriguing choice anyway. Part of me wonders if they will actually dive, although I think there's a 99% chance they won't 😅

At the top of my carnivore wishlist we have the coati (of course) and... The harbour seal. I am quite fond of marine mammals, and I'd LOVE to have another seal. The Harbour Seal is smaller in size, more common in captivity, and basically the one seal everyone is familiar with. Grey seal is great don't get me wrong, but I'd like to have a more up-to-date seal model

But really, how many spotted cats do we need for people to be happy? This is a zoo game, not Nintendogs + Cats
Personally I just want the Serval and that’s it. I was never really invested in the Ocelot - it’s fine I get the demand for it it’s just not my thing. I just really like the serval for what it is and if we’re gonna get more African animals I’ll take it over more ungulates (plus I was robbed of it from the sand cat which I still despise to this day)

With the Ocelot in Planet Zoo I can now officially make that Minecraft inspired zoo I wanted to work on... I was just missing a mob from the Jungle biome (not counting the panda)

Have you seen the rhea? The Saki Monkey? What minimal quality? Pure slop? Have your eyes checked.
The Saki is a new model with a capuchin rig. and is 100% minimal quality comparing it to actual modder work, the Greater Rhea is them doing a feather job on the Ostrich. Theres also the uncertainty that the Sakis don't even have Gender Dimorphism.

Are you for real? The rhea and saki use those rigs because guess what? They use similar locomotion as those animals, I know shocking.

And you call the saki a slop because you THINK they do not have sexual dimorphism based on absolutely nothing. That is absolutely silly.

Slow you're roll bud I never called the Saki Slop thats pushing words into my mouth. Also are you seriously sure two animals that a modder could do 1 and half month tops is worth 6 full months with a side of 4 freshly baked clones with an actual animal that brings something new that swims. Thats called Slop pack!

I use mods, I am super impressed with modders, I pay a couple $$ for them and I love what they add to the game. But they are never a replacement for the real deal. I would always prefer the DLC animal first. The textures are better, the animations are much smoother and there are always animations and little details added. They don't risk breaking my saves. And they just feel more like the real game.

I do not understand the idea of resuing rigs as a criticism btw, do we hate on nature for 'reusing' her skeletons and musculature when species are extremely internally similar? That's essentially what the rig is.

Im pointing out the fact that reusing rigs is making the game have less time to finish the final product. 6 months for a new canine that uses grey wolf sounds, a Dall sheep with a paint job, a ostrich with a paint job and cleaner feathers, a flamingo that was colored red, an actual good cat, a unique dog that swims, and a capuchin with a good model. I will watch and see it make capuchin noises and act like a capuchin too.
