Excellent, elder emus!

Now, let's hope their lifespan gets tweaked and they can live into their 20s, as is the case in captive animals.

Also walkthrough emus! Most zoos have this in real life!
I've asked this in a Discord server, but is there actually a list of zoos that have walkthrough emu enclosures? I've been to plenty of zoos in the EU and never seen one because we usually consider them to dangerous, and when asked the majority of people said that the majority of zoos they visited did not have walkthrough exhibits for emus.

Not saying that it shouldn't be a thing, if there are zoos out there they should, but maybe the reason why Frontier is reluctant to add it is because they're less common than we think?

I do not think there is a list, no. I can only add to the discussion that two zoos in my near proximity have them, that being Olomouc Zoo and Zlín Zoo in Czech Republic. I do think Frontier think of the Emus as in similar to cassowaries, but they are much more docile.

I don't have a list of zoos on me of course, but they're a fairly common thing here in Australia at least - not as omnipresent as macropod walkthroughs, but still lots of them around. Two of my local zoos, Cleland Wildlife Park and Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary, have walkthrough emus (Gorge Wildlife Park also has emu chicks in their petting zoo area at the moment but I think we should only be talking about adults here), while other zoos I've been to that I can recall having walkthrough emus include the Australian Reptile Park and the National Zoo & Aquarium.

Here's a vid I took of an emu at the latter zoo, who was particularly friendly - given the time of year (emus mate around June) and the way he's puffing out his neck feathers, I reckon this guy was following me so closely because he was trying to court me haha:

I really don't want to sound ungrateful @Chuditch and @FoxyDee, truly not as I really do appreciate your input, but I also didn't want people to clog this thread with examples from their local zoos either. 🙈

If we don't have a list then maybe we can start a topic where we can make a list? Would just be useful to know either way, as it would help people who make realistic zoos by looking at which countries offer it and which don't.

Why not just add it due to common demand?
Its not like Frontier walkabout choices are based on real zoos or husbandry. I sincerely believe it is mostly based on what is small and cute.
Hence why I included the "Not saying that it shouldn't be a thing, if there are zoos out there they should" part.
