Something that has always struck me as odd, with missions involving planetary settlements, is the difference in mission variety when comparing Persistent Settlements with ones that are Procedural Generated.
With Persistent Settlements, you can get Scan Missions, Skimmer Missions & Sabotage Missions. You can also be sent to Settlements ranging in size from (+) to (+++), & from Low to High Security......which, when combined, allows for a huge amount of variety.
By comparison, Procedural Generated Settlements only have Scan missions, & they are limited to Settlements the equivalent of Size (+) & Low Security.
So, my question to the Developers is-why can't we have the same variety with Procedural Generated Settlements as we do for Persistent Settlements? Why not have a Scan Mission in a Procedural Settlement equivalent to a +++ Size Persistent Settlement? Even if said settlement is low security, if the scan mission requires you to scan multiple Data-links scattered throughout the Settlement, within a specific time frame, in order to complete the mission-then you've just made the mission much more interesting than "drive in & scan".....& probably worth a decent, multi-million credit pay-out.
Likewise, you could get a mission to Sabotage part of Procedural Generated Settlement that is ++ Size & Medium Security, or by sent to a High Security, + Size Procedural Generated Settlement to kill the Skimmers that guard it. Given that Procedural Generated Settlements can appear on any land-fall planet, then the variety of missions you could get would be even *greater* than what can ever be achieved with Persistent Settlements.
Anyway, I sure hope that Adam & Dominic will consider this in the next 2 chapters of Beyond Updates
