Federation Pilots Raid Gutamaya Shipyard


We are receiving reports that a band of daring Federation pilots have raided the Gutamaya shipyards deep in Empire space. Federation pilots liberated dozens of highly restricted Imperial vessels including the Imperial Courier and Imperial Clipper. We interviewed a member of the Shadow Navy on condition of anonymity.


"Gutamaya has produced potent combat ships for decades, but supply has been strictly limited to pilots in the Imperial Navy. It was rare to see a Federation pilot in a Clipper or Courier. Last night we exploited a weakness in the Gutamaya security systems to liberate dozens of these ships for Federation use."


The Federation Commander gave more details, telling us "We intend to refit the Imperial Courier for 'deep strike' missions into enemy territory, using their extended jump range and an energy weapon loadout. The Clipper's high speed will be used for harassment and 'intercept and kill' tactics during undermining operations."


The pilot went on to tell us that "We've renamed the ships and now refer to them as the Freedom Clipper and Freedom Courier. It's a great opportunity to turn these weapons on their Slaver masters, and to spread peace, liberation and security throughout the galaxy."

As the result of a successful campaign by the followers of Aisling Duval, the princess now controls the Beker system, one of the largest supplies of Palladium in the Empire. The new base of operations set up in the neighbouring Ienpalang system, bordering Arissa Lavigny-Duval's space, was secured with the blessing of the supporters of both princesses. Following the delightful news, commander Mirrcat of Aisling's Angels released the following statement:

"We are pleased to report that the rich supplies of Palladium will provide a source of income for many honest traders in the Empire. The Angels would like to offer an invitation to every Imperial trader to join us in this sustainable venture. Together we can show the Empire that one can make a living in trade without resorting to trafficking in slaves."

After a series of hazardous workplace incidents with Obabmbori Legal Interstellar, an accident costing the lives of reportedly 26 orbital workers sparked a revolution at Norgay Hub. In the wake of the accidents hundreds of workers took over key installations of the system authorities, effectively taking control of the system and issuing a distress call to nearby systems for help in securing the flow of vital medicines that had been systematically been withheld from workers in Obambori.
Obambori Legal Interstellar, an organisation with long-standing history of exploiting its workers could not be contacted to comment on the events.

Sources close to the Princess however claim that Count Ryan was seen to be arguing with the Princess not a day before his supposed exile. What is clear is his exploration fitted Asp is no longer in dock at Medupe. The cause of contention is unknown. Unusually he is reported to have had all badges and markings removed from his Asp, the most notable one being that of a Founder of the Elite Federation of Pilots.

Laid on by Terrocomm to gain sympathy with the public and local government officials.
Was this just some cruel, heartless plan just to manipulate funding to aid the support for terrocomms much publicised security measures? To gain a foothold with in the walls of power?
With Growing public unrest at the seemingly unstoppable wave of piracy and crime with in our trade lanes terroComm has tremendous support from the public But are we all being duped?

Independant Explorers Head for BLEIA permit region.

Over 15 Cmdrs have set out for the BLEIA permit region in deep space - some 35,000ly from Sol - with the objective of plotting and investigating the zone. BLEIA, which has 5 zones appears to be a bubble of space between 2-2500ly across, is one of the largest areas of deep space that are off bounds to explorers.

Under the lead of Cmdrs Seamus Harper and Vonpaulus, who are already on site with Cmdr Jez146, they plan to find out if i. there is a way to obtain a permit for the system, ii. if anything else can be found around this region of interest and iii. the true scale and nature of the region. Cmdrs Jez 146 and Vonpaulus have been busy working as a tag team scanning the face of BLEIA3, have stated that whilst there is nothing of major interest yet, they are finding an increased number of bodies with Ammonia atmosphere types.

The joyous news that our Emperor, Hengist Duval is to marry his long time companion Florence Lavigny throws the spotlight on Imperial security for the forthcoming marriage. With immediate effect, all military leave has been cancelled and on the personal orders of Admiral Brennus, for many years a loyal servant of the Emperor and at present, commander of Imperial forces, all Commanders of the Empire are to make themselves available to assist in the protection of all members of the Imperial family, Princesses and Senators. Today, GalNet sources were invited to a secret location, were CMDR Hammer Fall addressed hundreds of pilots who had gathered listen to the rogue CMDR speak of his battles against slavery and his recent campaign named Operation: Hammer’s Wrath.

‘I know my actions are extreme and many see me as a common criminal or psychopath. I admit that sometimes, this is not far from the truth. However, I have lived as a slave, forced into slavery when my home world Durius was conquered by slavers. They took everything from me………..my home, my family, my dignity and lastly my freedom. All I have left is my wrath……………’

When asked why he thought others should follow him, why they should risk their own lives and ships for those enslaved? His response was inspiring:

‘I do not expect anyone to follow me, I stand for an ideal, a simple ideal that slavery has no place in this universe. Look deep into your own hearts and think about those who are humiliated every day by their slave masters, the families torn apart so that the privileged can enjoy their petty luxuries……….do you feel a spark in the pit of your stomach? That is your wrath! Focus on that feeling, nurture it and soon it will grow into a force that nothing can stop!’

He continued with ‘When you battle against the slavers factions, know that you carry the fury of the all those enslaved inside you, unleash your wrath and let it consume them all! Slavers deserve no mercy and we will show them none!’

GalNet reported that the pilots present had come from a variety of opposing factions but for that moment, they put aside their differences and were united in his ideal, that slavery has no place in this universe.

I’m sure you’re all familiar with the GalNet newsfeed in game and how we’re using it to provide updates on the various storylines currently active in game. We want to expand the newsfeed to include more player generated news and particularly upcoming events. As part of this process you can submit a news item for consideration by posting in this thread. To submit a news item simply post with the following:

- Date and time for the news item/event
- Title – this should be brief and include the location
- Description – This should be no more than 150 words

There are a few rules that need to be followed for submissions:

Recently, we talked to integrants of the rising independent group, the Nova Fleet. Now, we have talked to an anonymous person who, as he says, has been studying the Nova Fleet from the insides.

After saying this, our contact denied to provide us of further information. However, their fame is spreading fast, and an official of the imperial navy, who pledged fidelity to Aisling Duval, talked to us about this.


"Their ideals sound good, even noble, although their objectives are not so clear, it all seems like a public face for something else: ”The Nova Fleet wants to bring prosperity and security to the frontier of the human civilization, we are not willing to get involved in political matters with the big factions, even some of ours pilots belong to the empire's navy or the Feds, some are also part of the Alliance. - During the interview, there was a moment where their mask slipped, revealing a potentially darker side to the Fleet's methods… - But don't missunderstand us, our goal is to bring security to the outer colonies, if that means to fight against the Empire, the Feds or bloody aliens, then we'll do it." …I think there’s something they’re looking for, something of great importance is going on somewhere in the frontier, and the Nova Fleet is after it.


If someone asked me, I’d say the Empire should look closely and carefully, if something is growing in the frontier of our civilization, the Empire must do something, I don’t trust this ‘DarkStar’, and I’m sure he’s up to something.”


After this new wave of reports, some are starting to worry, is the Nova Fleet a threat and not a fleet of “freedom fighters” as they say they are?

Emperor's Grace And Cosmic State Commence Weapons Manufacture

Following the very recent expansion by Emperor's Grace into an Imperial system, a suitable industrial location for the production of advanced technology and weapons has been identified, deep in Imperial space and protected by forces loyal to Emperor's Grace. The unnamed system presently has production facilities for both Battle Weapons and Personal Weapons and can easily be modified to produce the high quality weapons that are presently being developed.

Grimnir Allvadderung, CEO of Cosmic State's Hammer Arms and Vaarwen Mako Brennus, Leader of Emperor's Grace met in Rishair to inform the media about the exciting developments between Cosmic State and Emperor's Grace but this announcement was immediately overshadowed by the galaxy wide public announcement that the wedding of Emperor Hengist Duval to Florence Lavigny was to proceed as soon as possible. This historic Royal announcement preceded yet another evening of carousing by the two friends, where on this occasion, large quantities of Beer were consumed. The Brewer responsible for the consignment of Beer delivered to the celebrations sadly died that evening, having fallen into a Vat of Malt, allegedly not long after a number of guests complained about the consistency of the Beer. An agricultural system is therefore being considered as a potential location to produce Mead in Emperor's Grace territory and additional beehives are to be located on the planet's surface.

By loading different sets of code into its RAM, this will enable the same computer to perform different functions from docking your ship to controlling limpets for collection, prospecting, fuel transfer, and even hatch-breaking—not that we would condone piracy, of course.


“To support this, we have been working hard on a technical development that we call an ‘Integrated circuit.’ This device brings chips together on the same small board and might lead to these computers becoming miniaturised, possibly even as small and light as a single tonne!


“We realise that these innovations may lead to a degree of concern and worry in some people, but I would like to reassure them that we respect the limits of what Mankind was Meant to Know. Even were it possible to create an autopilot, we would not do so, because humans must be left something to do.”


Despite this, Galnet has explored further rumours from the Sirius Corp community and found more disturbing developments that might alter space flight forever. There is talk of something called an “air tank” capable of extending emergency life support for hours, a“partition wall” that would allow several computers or scanners to fit in the same class 2+ internal compartment, and what seems a ludicrous plan to have armoured shutters close over canopies when the ship is under threat.


“That last thing is obviously a joke,” said an independent expert, live via hololink. “I mean, what technology could possibly allow us to see out?”
