24 July, 3301 (within turn 8)

The People's Princess achieves the #1 rating amid losing stakes in HIP 95256.

In the last few days before galactic power polls closed on the morning of July 24, HIP 95256 saw sudden increase in opposition to the expansion of Aisling Duval supporters into the system. The media takeover was otherwise going well until reports of disrupted sealed contract shipments came flooding in within a short amount of time. Aisling loyalists were not able to respond to the sudden turn of events due to the internal dispute with commanders supporting future expansion into Phra Mool.

"The Phra Mool supporters refused to accept that staging a campaign towards Sol in our current situation would only serve to compromise the power as a whole," stated Garret Neuville-Throne, a Seraph of Aisling's Angels. "We had to secure several other systems to prevent the Phra Mool preparation from succeeding. Bulk of our commanders were indisposed with that task preventing them from providing additional manpower to operations in HIP 95256. Phra Mool would have been doomed to fail either way even if preparations to expand into the system succeeded given its close proximity to other powers but its successful preparation would have cost us a lot of valuable resources." Commander GNThrone was unable to entertain any more questions and had to depart early to address the plans for Aisling Duval in the coming week.

Aisling's Angels and several Aisling Duval loyalists are determined to expand into HIP 95256 despite the fact that they are unable to proceed with preparations for the system this week. HIP 95256 was projected to bolster the resources of the power significantly, however other systems in the cluster will not provide the same benefit HIP 95256 will give. For the mean time, fortification of systems is the priority for the week until polls close on Thursday, July 30; HIP 95256 will have to wait until the power accumulates enough resources to take it.

Despite dropping in ratings the previous week, Aisling Duval springs to the #1 position after 6 weeks of struggling to take the spot. The feat is largely thanks to all the commanders who supported her despite several unexpected turn of events along the way. Loyalists were delighted to hear the news of Aisling's success in the early hours of July 24 with many initially finding it hard to believe. Commander Corrigendum, an ambassador from Arissa Lavigny-Duval, publicly congratulated Aisling loyalists for bringing Aisling Duval to #1 alongside Arissa Lavigny-Duval who holds the #2 rating. On a separate occasion, Commander UFeindschiff, an ambassador from Zachary Hudson, also congratulated Aisling supporters and encouraged them to continue the fight against slavery and for human rights.

The People's Princess left a statement congratulating all her supporters for their most recent achievement and apologizes for being unable to thank everyone personally. Her loyalists are hoping to see her appear in public to share her words regarding the recent developments in her success.

Title:
Obituary – Professor K. F. Alwyn

Story:
Professor K. F. Alwyn, frequently cited as the mother of modern political science, has died at the age of 141 at her home in Alioth. Alwyn became a public figure after she singlehandedly revolutionised the field in the 3280s with the aim of simplifying politics for the general public and academics alike.

Alwyn's Lexicon of Political Science quickly became the new standard within the field as well as a bestselling book when the first edition was published in 3287, most famously coining the now common term Command Capital, which was initially called the Amalgamated Political and Economic Variables Index.

She also introduced the galaxy to the modern meanings of terms such as Powerplay, pledge, fortification and undermining that have become common during the recent surge of interest in politics. She famously responded to one critic who accused her of reducing politics to a sport by saying "Maybe the public would pay more attention if they thought it was a game - the politicians certainly do."

An article on the Cerberus plague, hopefully a precursor to the CG being completed at Bast:
-
Date:
current
Title: Traders Answer the Call for Help at Bast
Description:
Over the last few days, in response to the further spread of the Cerberus Plague, merchants from every corner of the galaxy have been answering the call for help issued last week from Hart Station by the Bast Company. Since then, freighters of every size and affiliation have been streaming in and out of Hart station delivering much needed medical supplies.
-
Thanks to their efforts, Dr. Angus Ybarra, lead researcher at the Bast Medical facility, believes it just may be possible that the rampant spread of the Cerberus Plague might be halted at Hart Station, and a cure found. "The next few days will tell us for certain. There is still much to do, but we feel we may be getting close to a solution. If we do, everyone will agree it could not have been possible without the help of the hundreds of Commanders who have worked tirelessly to bring much needed medicine and aid to the people of the Bast system."
-
Focusing their efforts on Bast according to a missive issued from the Pilot's Federation and working long hours with little rest and small reward, Commanders for almost every faction have contributed a steady stream of supplies which have been consumed almost as fast as they arrive. "I've never seen the like." stated one Commander. "What's most amazing is that many of these pilots are doing this at zero profit. Some have even taken a loss, but they know if we don't check the spread of this thing, even more stations will be closed to us. We have Alliance, Federation and Imperial commanders all working together here. See that ship over there? He's a bloody pirate, but he brought in a shipment peaceably. Even their kind understand what's at stake." Thanks to the efforts of those Commanders, Bast officials feel that they finally may be getting ahead of the spread of the disease.
-
Though the show of support at Bast has been overwhelming, it must still be pointed out that the effort there has left other systems such as Bastes, Maheou Ti and Ochoeng more or less to fend for themselves. "That is unfortunate," said Dr. Ybarra. "However these commanders that have put their livelihood on hold cannot be everywhere at once. We are just lucky they chose to focus their efforts here, and we are doing our best to validate their efforts." Officials at Hart Station have given their assurance that if the plague is defeated there, the Bast Medical Association will coordinate with other afflicted systems in implementing the cure, should one be found. At the very least, they are hoping treatments in development there can find a way to stop the spread of the Cerberus Plague to any further systems.

"The women and children are your future"

Ellen L. Ripley is a common woman from a ordinary planet.
In the night she drives around the warzones and picks up escape capsules filled up with a lot of women and children.
She saves a lot of women and many children from every clan and now she wants to bring them back home.
Ellen L. Ripley says: "For me all people are equal. The women and children are your future."
So clans let me know if i can bring your women and children back home safely.
This is a mission of peace, so i put my weapons down.
So if you want your women and children back home safely send some guards for protection.
Please feel free to contact me.

The idea is a live event played in open mode and the rules are:
If Ellen (this is me) dies the protecting clan lose.
If more clans win we start over again with the winners.
Ellen is flying in a pink orca without weapons, just shield and armour.
The winners can find themselfes in the next GalNet news.

If you think it's a good new idea i would be happy to find this in the next GalNet news.
After you send this in GalNet news please give me one week for planning my route and contacting clans.

"Sons of Seven Lords" is rising with CryMeds' battle against the disease

Date: 28th July, 3301 - 09.27 am
Title: "Sons of Seven Lords" is rising with CryMeds' battle against the disease
Description:
The Sons of Seven Lords fights side-by-side with CryMed to eradicate Cerberus virus and to prevent galaxy wide plague.
-
The drug company has serious problems with the vaccines distribution because the central research laboratories are located in Munfayl, more than 100 light years away from the infected regions.
-
In response to Crymed's latest public statement they have researched a cure to stop the disease, the Sons of Seven Lords have offered the whole capacity of their fleet to support the distribution. Commanders belong to the group started to deliver the vaccines into the infected systems with the leadership of Cmdr. Wormhole.
-
With the medicines funded by the SOSL group chances of the Bast System to eradicate the virus has been significantly improved.
-
Under the pressure of media, the spokesman of Crymed Healthcare Systems explained that: “The Sons of Seven Lords group is a paramilitary organization with significant investments into CryMed researches and interests. We have found a group of supporters who are looking into the future and besides warfare solutions they make large-scale investments into biotechnology researches as well."

The First Imperial Armada returns to Vaka
After lengthy absence, the First Imperial Armada returns to their former headquarters in Vaka. The system having been conquered by the united armed forces of Senator Denton Patreus led by the First Imperial Armada, Vaka is now being expanded to a fully-fledged naval base.
“We are delighted to return to our native soil. Our armada has always been connected with Vaka since their formation and was domiciled here for a long time. We hope to renew and even improve our former, good relationship to “Vaka Citizens of Tradition”, Admiral NekoNeko conveyed during a brief press conference at the dock of Zenbai Orbital.
Being asked whether the reason was the ongoing “Operation Davy Jones”, the Admiral answered: “Archon Delaine has enslaved and suppressed citizens of the Empire long enough! The pilots of the First Imperial Armada will keep on doing whatever is required to bring him and his Kumo Crew back in line!” Saying that, the Admiral left the conference.
Shortly after communicating that the First Imperial Armada is going to be relocated from NLT 8653 to Vaka, preparations for the arrival began on board the station. Everybody is aware of the joy that the citizens of Vaka feel about the armada returning.
Being asked when first parts of the armada were going to relocate, First-rate Pilot Juniper "-=Vampyre=-" Nomi'Tar replied: “Some parts of the armada have already arrived and have transferred their ships. The next ones will follow in a few days. I believe that the move will take only a few days. I am glad to be here again. This is our homeland!”

Title: Unknown Artifact Accidentally Destroyed in Crown Terminal HIP 21778
Description:

Cmdr Blain Crighton of the Angeli Imperial issued an apology today to the HIP 21778 Free after a Python registered to the group jettisoned one of the Unknown Artifacts the group had liberated of Federal Naval Vessels operating in Un No Myoin inside the Orbis Station and then impacted with the object during an effort to scoop up the artifact.
The Artifact, which is known to radiate energy damaging to ships holding it, was reported by Cmdrs Vyvian and Ping as to sending "Purple dust like spores" out in all directions when it was crushed by the Python.
Cmdr Vyvian paid the 150 CR fine levied for the "Unlawful Jettison of Cargo within the Station No fire Zone".

Description:

Cmdr Blain Crighton in his Sidewinder Kereru along with Cmdrs Vyvian, DaMorgs and Ping, recreated the exploits of Cmdrs Ishmael, Jamieson, Halligan and Kohl by delivering an Unknown Artifact to Leonard Nimoy Station LHS 3006, which were popularized by the Short Film entitled "Wings" releasted by the Pilots Federation earlier this year.
When asked why, Cmdr Crighton replied, The Pilots Federation is quite an interesting bunch, some of the members hide cryptic messages in everything they do, others their messages are more straight forward.
Cmdr Crighton made as a condition of the transfer of the UA the SET department at Nimoy Station copy in Dr Arcannon in on any findings

Title: The Unkown Arterfact, a clue of what's to come?
Description: Many people have been speculating over the UA also known as the unknown arterfact which no one so far has been able to figiure out what it in fact is. Obersavtions have shown that a morse code has been found to be emited from it which is for the nearest Celestial body but nothing has come from that yet as to why and what it's doing with that data as it seems to make it be an beacon or scanner.

Someone has now said this about it: "That UA thingy is scanning our plannets, our stations, our system for targets for something that's coming for us! Targets for a first strike against us to cripple us! The Federation and other goverments are trying to pick up these things and investigate them but they are revealing their bases to the enemy, I don't think it's Thargoids as we would know by now with all that's been done to it. I think there's something else coming which someone could be trying to tell us about! Kahina she dissappered lately but was then linked to Dark Wheel....I think they know and we need them to speak up!"

CMDR Ratking15 who is holding a UA has also spoken out calling for goverments, groups and induviduals to try to contact him as the silence from them has gone on too long. When asked how to contact him he said "make it obivious, I'll be watching and I'll come running faster than Robert Garry"

Non-Aggression Treaty Signed

- Date: Thursday, 30th of July 2015
- Title: Non-Aggression Treaty Signed
- Description:

Earlier this week, representatives of the Alliance prime minister Edmund Mahon and the Federal president Zachary Hudson have met in neutral ground. After much deliberations and discussions, an entente was reached between the representatives of the two superpowers: no acts of aggression shall be made by the pilots of the respective powers toward each-other.

This announce was met by some skepticism by supporters on the Alliance's side, but after an inquiry it was revealed that this doubt was simply the voice of a vocal minority. Other pilots of the three powers cheered at the announcement.

It is important to note that this accord is not an alliance nor a cooperation entente, but simply a recognition of the value that peace brings to the citizens of powers that do not have to constantly worry about being interdicted and killed by pilots of other origins. A time of prosperity is now to be enjoyed for every citizens. This non-aggression treaty is now effective.

Title: Where is Mic Turner when we need him?
Description:

<editorName>, the editor of Frontier News ("Your One Source For Unbiased News in the Alliance"), has recently received information from reliable sources at the heart of Dr. Arcanonn’s investigation into the mysterious Unknown Artefacts. While scientific testing of the artefacts continues, several of Arcanonn’s group have analysed the role of the UAs in recent political events. Our sources contend that efforts by some to portray the UAs as the source of the recent Cerberus Plague outbreaks, or as being connected to the disappearance of Starship One, are in fact propaganda intended to generate fear of an alien threat, for purposes unknown. “While these objects seem to have an alien aspect to them, it is clear that it has been humans, from both the Federation and the Empire, who have been moving them from system to system in heavily armed naval convoys. Those same humans have refused to publicly acknowledge their existence or release any information concerning them. None of the systems where these convoys have been encountered have been affected by the Cerberus plague, nor have any of the systems where Arcanonn’s UA testing has occurred to date. This clearly indicates that the only possible connection between the two is a broad effort orchestrated by persons unknown with ties to both the Federation and Empire to create fear based around a unconfirmed alien presence. It has the strong stench of the bad old days of INRA conspiracies.”

Our sources also touched on the disappearance of Federation President Halsey: “Remember those reports of the assassination of Imperial Crown Prince Hesketh at Delta Phoenicis during the Emperor’s tour of <year>? Sounds familiar doesn’t it? We have seen an official report from Alliance Intelligence, stating that ships of the Circle of Elite Independent Pilots, some sort of breakaway faction of the mysterious Dark Wheel, were behind that. These “Ceepers” seem to have hoped to pin it on the Thargoids, but the efforts of Alliance Intelligence, while too late to stop the assassination, managed to prevent the former. Have these “Ceepers” killed the Federation President with the same aim? And are they falsely linking the Unknown Artefacts with the Cerberus Plague? If so, why? What do they have to gain by creating a fear of Thargoids or other aliens? These are the questions that need to be answered about the UAs, even more so than those of our scientific colleagues.”

Given that the Alliance itself was formed on the basis of friendly human-alien relations, our editorial board tends to agree. Is INRA back? If so, are they operating with official support? Are they connected with this new Dark Wheel radical faction? Most importantly, what will Edmund Mahon do about it? As concerned Alliance citizens, we believe he must tell us exactly what Alliance Intelligence knows of these events. Can Mahon be this generation’s Mic Turner? We certainly need one now.

Title: Operation Davy Jones - The Voices of Dissent
Description:

The efforts of the Imperial forces engaged in ‘Operation Davy Jones’ have continued this week, with the attackers keeping up pressure on Archon Delaine’s stretched and battered forces. However, while the pilots engaged in the operation remain optimistic after a series of local successes, the campaign has attracted its share of detractors.

"When I talk with my peers about the issues of the day, it isn't faraway systems in the back of beyond that we concern ourselves with.” Commander Edgar Starwalker, aligned with Arissa Lavigny-Duval, said in a brief interview. “Many of us know that there is corruption right on our doorsteps, with Dictators, and credit-beholden Corporations, in charge of so many Imperial worlds. I think something should be done to bring about change at home!"

While the operation is carried out by combined Imperial forces of varying allegiance, the core of the fleet is provided by Arissa Lavigny-Duval. As such, concerns about turmoil in the Princess’ territory leads some to question the decision to commit large forces to an offensive against the Kumo Crew . More recently outrage has been sparked by the attempts, initiated by supporters of Aisling Duval, to solicit the help of Federal Commanders in ‘Operation Davy Jones’.

When asked for comment, Commander Great Gig of Lavigny Legion’s Velite Squadron, had this to say: "When news traveled that Imperial Commanders were contacting the Federation for cooperation and help, I was quite saddened. Aren't we the mighty Empire of Achenar? Doesn't our history oppose their political and institutional corruption, their mind control through relentless propaganda and consumerism?"

As for the past month, eyes of the galaxy remain on Pegasi Sector and ‘Operation Davy Jones’. Whether the Imperial forces manage to maintain their resolve in the face of stalwart defence and dissent at home yet remains to be seen..

Title: Unknown Artefacts and Cerberus Plague - worrying links found

Description:

Regular readers of GalNet will know that the Arcanonn Research Group has been tirelessly studying the Unknown Artefacts for some time. In a worrying development, the so-called 'Cerberus Plague' outbreak, that started in BD-02 4304, has drawn the attention of a small group of the artefact scientists.

Our source, who wishes to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals within the group, tells us:

"Following the disclosure on 14th July 3301, by one of Carl Simmons' team on Newton Dock, of 'an unusual three-pronged structure at the head of the phage-like organism', visual similarities between the artefact and this description were deemed interesting enough to be investigated."

"After comparing the appearance of the artefacts against the description, and charting the spread of the plague, we now urge CMO Carl Simmons to investigate the artefact in depth. To facilitate this, we formally offer to deliver an artefact to Newton Dock, via the local black market, for his team to acquire for his own research purposes."

Feelings run high within this group that the implications of an alien artefact being the cause of the Cerberus plague are too great to be ignored, despite the feelings of their colleagues:

"Some think there is no link, others are only interested crackpot conspiracy theories, while some now seem only interested in hoarding as many artefacts as possible. We are only interested in determining if there is a link, and we feel that Dr Simmons is the key. If the artefact turns out to be the cause of this plague, then it would be a most worrying development indeed, despite the recent discovery of a likely cure being found in the form of Heike tea - which is, of course, excellent news."

He finished with a direct plea to Carl Simmons:

"Dr Simmons, look at our current research data - available on the public feeds. If you agree with our analysis, all you need do is issue a statement on GalNet and we will do the rest. The fate of us all could be hanging in the balance."

Title: Citizens concerned over Mahon's methods

Description:

Money is one of the oldest and strongest ways to exert influence, and Alliance's prime minister Edmund Mahon is known as a man who gets things done with it. But could he be going too far in his quest to expand the Alliance on pro-business platform? Numerous NGOs such as Condonation Interplanetary who deal with civil rights inside and outside the Alliance, have raised alarm over the changes of governance and outright coups committed by commanders supporting Edmund Mahon in the play between various powers of inhabited space.

"We are frankly concerned of the effects Mahon's policies are having on prospective new and existing members of the Alliance. Numerous systems on our frontier and at home have seen violent conflicts instigated by corporations, with aim to gain control of the main stations and systems themselves. We have strong evidence of Alliance-aligned commanders enacting these changes and worst of all, with explicit backing from Alliance governments! All this in name of reinforcing Edmund Mahon's control against our enemies. There must be better alternatives than the one where corporations are given all power. With the Federation lost to machinations of mega-corporations and Empire re-enacting the worst parts of ancient Rome, only the Alliance can believably uphold our natural freedoms. Yet the development we are seeing here points in the way of Federation and Sirius Gov. It is our sincere hope that Edmund Mahon can put distance between himself and likes of Zachary Hudson and Li Yong-Rui, and not go down in history as the man who federalized the Alliance." <name here>, director of Condonation Interplanetary commented to the media.

Title: Ending Corruption at Home and Abroad

Description:
Concerns have been expressed that the ongoing war of liberation in the Pegasi sector, Operation Davy Jones, has left the Empire exposed to invasion and corruption. Addressing these concerns, Senator Arissa Lavigny-Duval had these words for her constituents.

"With so many of our Imperial fleets engaged in battle, it is understandable that many are anxious regarding the security of our home territory. I wish to assure our citizens that local security forces are not impacted. In fact, over half of the Imperial fleet is held in reserve. During the past weeks, a number of Imperial systems in our home space witnessed corrupt and repressive governments replaced by traditional patronages. Much of the heavy lifting has been done by Imperial reserve fleets. Our continued success in the Pegasi sector will soon liberate our citizens living there. To shirk our duties to our citizens, whether at home or abroad, is unacceptable.”

Date: Any time as long as Felicia Winters is still Shadow President

Title: On The Record - Shadow President Felicia Winters
It's a three parter so I'll post all three, use them if/when you can :)

Part I

GalNet recently sat down with Federation Shadow President Felicia Winters for an extended conversation. Here is part one of a three part series.

GN: You hold the position of Shadow President in the Federation. Can you explain to our readers what that means exactly?
FW: In Federation politics, the Shadow President is the voice of the opposition party not currently in power. The President, Zachary Hudson, is the voice of the party in power and the Federation as a whole. While our principles are dissimilar, our overall goal of advancing the ideals of the Federation throughout space is not. We have a spirit of cooperation in that way.

GN: You have openly questioned President Hudson’s plans and the processes by which he has decided to guide the Federation. You have even recruited your own navy and have set your sights on star systems to control. Is that really the “spirit of cooperation”?
FW: There are other Powers in civilized space from the Federation, Empire and Alliance currently spending billions of credits to marshal forces, distribute propaganda, and address the needs of citizens everywhere in an effort to advance their own vision of what civilization should look like. While some like Zachary Hudson - and to a somewhat lesser degree Aisling Duval - hold views similar to ours others are quite different and must not go unchallenged. The Liberal wing of the Federation will be heard.

GN: Madam Shadow President, recent Federation leaders have left office by violent means. Do you see sinister forces or incredibly bad luck as the culprit?
FW: President Smeaton was murdered which was an obviously premeditated event. President Halsey was lost when Starship One experienced difficulties while in hyperspace. Though both tragic, I would hesitate to connect the two to any conspiracy. The fact is and always will be that leaders, especially Presidents and Emperors, will be targets for those that violently oppose their views.

That’s all we have time for in this session. Look to future GalNet articles for insight and information.

Part II

This is part two of a three part series that has GalNet engaged in a frank conversation with Federation Shadow President Felicia Winters.

GN: Could you tell our readers what you see as the most pressing issues facing civilized space today?
FW: The term civilized carries weight and responsibility. If we are civilized, and we are leaders, then we have a responsibility to those whose lives and circumstances are less prosperous than our own. Only by raising the fortunes of those at the bottom can those at the top truly be called civilized. More directly, the issues of poverty, famine, and education must be addressed so all may participate fully in the galactic family.

GN: Your sentiments are very similar to those of Aisling Duval. Some have equated that to you being soft on the Federation’s historical opposition to the policies of the Empire. How would you answer that?
FW: The fact that the Princess and I share comparable views on human dignity issues shouldn’t alarm anyone on either side. The Federation, Empire and Alliance should all have these issues at the top of the agenda. All problems aren’t solved at the pierce of a laser.

GN: Madam Shadow President, do you believe a true and lasting peace with the Empire can be achieved?
FW: I am encouraged by elements in the Empire that are more liberal leaning in terms of wanting to outlaw slavery and secure a basic living standard for its citizens. The People’s Princess is on the forefront of that effort but she is not the only expansive thinker in the Empire. We may yet figure out how to live together in peace. The more belligerent blocs on both sides will have to be dealt with first however.

Look for the last article in this series soon. Until then, remember to access GalNet for all the important news and information.

Part III

This is final installment of a three part series where GalNet has been speaking with Federation Shadow President Felicia Winters.

GN: In our last session you said “All problems aren’t solved at the pierce of a laser”. That sounded like a direct jab at President Hudson. Are you satisfied with your current role of Shadow President or do you have higher political aspirations?
FW: Recent polling has placed me and President Hudson virtually even. This is not long after a huge post-election bounce he received indicating to me, and others, that Federation citizens are now wondering about the wisdom of being on the road to war. Charting a new course for the Federation would be something I’d be comfortable with doing. I’m willing to let voters decide.

GN: You have said before that “We should do what is right, not necessarily what is easy or popular”. Is this to say President Hudson’s hardline “we’ll fire the last shot” posture is opinion poll driven?
FW: The art and act of governing often requires decisions that will impact some segment of society in a negative fashion. Those are hard for a politician to make and not all are willing to do so. Even though it might be for the greater good, telling a corporation new policies may cut their profits is a quick way to get credits funneled to your opponent’s campaign fund. I’ve accepted those eventualities but will not compromise my ideals.

GN: Last question Madam Shadow President. If you had only one sentiment you could present to describe your platform, what would it be?
FW: Virtuous and honorable people make a faction strong, not combat results.

GalNet thanks the Shadow President for her time and willingness to be On The Record.

Title: Alliance trade booms in Lugh

Description:

Over the last two weeks the Crimson State Group of Lugh has formed ties with the Alliance, allowing a consistent trade of supplies between the them and the galactic power. This contact with the Alliance comes shortly after it was officially recognized as an independent star system with a corresponding update to the galaxy map, something the Cartographic Society has been promising since the end of the War in Lugh.

With the attacks on the system starting 3 weeks ago, the Crimson State Group's corporate government has invested nearly a one and a half billion credits in Alliance trade contracts, and utilizing it's fleet of trade vessels with the expectation that they would be associated with the Alliance systems. This strategic move is accompanied with this Group's intent to invest more into the trade focused alliance. It is left to be seen, however, if the capital they have invested will be worth the return.

This news comes after the recently documented turmoil in the Alliance, where it was thought they would be unable to expand their influence at all last week. undermining efforts were quelled, and the turmoil ceased after one week due in no small part to the Crimson State Group's assistance. The effort, aiding Alliance pilots' attempts to fortify their systems, was a donation of over three hundred million Credits toward the fortification of systems in dire need of assistance and at the danger of being undermined.

The system and minor faction remain independent, but with these new changes in effect Alliance presence in the Lugh system will increase substantially and trade fleets coming into the system will be guarded by alliance vessels in addition to System security. The star shines brightly once more.
