Player Factories for a Player Driven Galaxy

This idea is of ObsidianAnt: a secondary player-driven industrial layer inside colonies to expand player driven content. Goods are mined, refined and assembled by players. Resource gatherers can bring minerals to manufacturers with fabrication bays. They can fabricate parts to expand a colony. Haulers can accept contracts to transport the parts to a location. The contractor performs an installation mission by placing or welding the modules on the structures. This puts more control of the supply chain into the hands of the players rather than the macro-economy of the background simulation.
