PLEASE MAKE POWERPLAY IN "OPEN ONLY"

I can make billions in mining, and make the same as an R5 bonus in a few hours. Is that weak?
I could to. But it not what floats my boat. Exploration or Bounty hunting is what I like.

Rubbernuke you can throw every argument at my way. But it comes down to will it affect my game play and others in a bad way. If it dose I will fight against it and point out the flaws.

Are you talking about the discord that online?

The Powerplay Discords I belong to.

A lot of people pick the Console because it a cheap family game system.

Its your choice not to buy it.

Let get the facts right. Mac did not support DirectX or some graphic. So Frontier had to drop them. So that not FRONTIER fault. That was Apple fault.

Take a look at the FAQ section of Rebel Galaxy Outlaw which states the Mac is a poor money maker game wise (for them at least).

Q: Mac?

A: Nuh uh. Sorry, just numbers. And who knows what's happening with OpenGL there.

It was too much trouble (i.e. too expensive) for FD to work around and maintain an increasingly vestigial version of ED hence it was axed.

But do you actually help out your Power in any way, or is it just for the bonus?

In the end if its good for the feature I'll argue for it.

Yes, the silent majority who are either easily discounted when they are Open only, and vital when they are sub less console owners.

"The majority want it therefore it should be that way" is not a valid argument in any form of endevour, it gets even worse when you start using "the silent majority." Any argument put forward by anyone that is supported by that position should be dismissed summarily. The position should stand or fall on its own merits.

Hence why I don't invoke the unseen and only discuss whats available on the forum.

Ahem, i never said that it was a problem of just one side. The point is, we don't know and neither can be used to defintiively support or oppose an argument, but just because you say one person isn't affected who is partaking in the discussion it doesn't mean there are others who will not be.

Same applies both ways.

The question is can everyone afford it. See You have to look at it this way. Food, Gas or subscription. Which benefit me the most. Well Food and Gas for one. Subscription is a luxury
I can't afford.

It because Mac they don't support Microsoft drivers and people have to download Wine to run Games.

So as we can see Mac don't
OpenGL is Windows Base. Mac like their own code.

But then some open only supporters say "the majority" without knowing if they are the majority. We discussing on the forums are a minority, that much is clear. And PP is currently a feature where a minority of players play from what we can discern. So OOPP proponents and detractors are minorities of minorities.

So claims that going open only will improve things for a majority (which some have done in this thread) is a really tenuous claim.

But as I suggested from your post, if you are module shopping, the modules will be in tech brokers. The PP bonuses these days are weak in comparison to raw moneymaking.
Why are you simply dismissing like that?
"You can just do something else"? really?
you can do something else if you want PvP where there is none?

No, from the reaction on Sandros flash topic. Sad as I am I counted the lot, and from Obsidian Ants poll both were a hard majority Open only.

Because I'm illustrating the state of the game. Material PP bonuses are frankly quite weak these days. Its not like when Antal, ALD and Hudson had a bug that paid out 400% value on bounties.

Yes but none of the proponent's arguments reach the silliness of "oopp pro players are taking away powerplay from xbox and ps4 players". C'mon, so one has a potato pc and FD upping requirements on the game is a problem? Solution is do not change the game?

C'mon there is a limit.
Users have a choice of graphical settings that, by lowering them, will permit PCs below the current minimum specification to run the game - it's left up to player choice how they experience the game.

Bad thing is Rubbernuke already has an advantage over my game play. I can't play Wing, I can't play CqC, He can play open in Powerplay if he wanted while I can't.

ppfff.... This one was not an emergency exit I am sorry.

What if at lowest settings I cannot run the game? I go to a forum and complain?
That when you contact customer support or have your computer look at. At the most you have to format your hard drive to make your game run better. If a hardware is failing due to age it need to be replaced.

That want it open right?

That play in open and have no clue that this arguement is going on.

So everyone else has to have a sub-standard game, or a game that can never change? Sometimes progress hurts. A fact I know as PC gaming can be expensive.

It because Mac they don't support Microsoft drivers and people have to download Wine to run Games.

Like I said, follow the money. Native Mac version did not make a lot of cash top earn its keep or be developed, so out comes the shotgun.

It part of the game I like.

But are you fortifying, prepping, UMing etc? I.e. engaging with the feature?

It is not me removing it, it is Microsoft and Sony and the people who buy consoles. Like your example of changing graphical settings, players can still pay their subscription and access open if they want to play powerplay if the change is made.
Sony and Microsoft do not block players access to Powerplay - as it has been implemented, by Frontier, for all players in all game modes, which means that it is available in Solo which means that all console players can access it, not just those with premium platform access.

PvP-gating any existing feature to Open would remove access to an existing feature from console players without premium platform access.

Changing graphics settings costs nothing - unlike premium platform access on consoles.
