Current:
No fire zones out to mass lock range or greater, enemies mean nothing after you drop or before jump.

Interdictions that result in entering orbital cruise no longer pancake you and them, instead the tether breaks.

Practically infinite shields and hull.

NPCs always warn you about interdiction pursuits. Just facepalm.

Bounties against players are an extra level of annoying now, if you can get them.

Having a bounty means a bounty hunter after you after most jumps for 7 full days, one vs players becomes a later stage of this cancer.

Pending:
Even more game-ending penalties for PKs or choosing the pirate/psychopath “careers,” fluffy space-pillows and big thargoid hearts for the catatonic CMDR.

(What do you think about the push for Plebeian: Safe? I have to be missing some noobie nerfs, too. Let us know.)

Elite and dangerous don’t vibe with easy and safe.

I envision little difference in open play compared to solo past casual banter. Each hollow box a fitting example of the average CMDR; hollowed out, boxed, monotone.

It’s not enough to make it harder to be a victim of human/NPC crime, but to make the penalties steep, then promise to double down? A little learning goes a long way, can’t learn if nothing is a mistake. What kind of “frontier” is that? Certainly not elite.

The hunt for a victim will be more intimate, damaging legit intimacy. With fewer simple ways to have a chance to pirate/kill, enough will occupy multi-crew or seek out wings. They will render all player-player interactions so risky that more people will back down from socializing outside their bubble of friend. Multi-crew and spontaneous wings will drift to unconsidered. Not everyone plays with current friends, and would rather not have a snow’s chance in hell at finding new ones.

Would the catatonic then demand bans from wings or multi-crew? Then maybe shadow-bans for doing it too much at all since we already accepted bans?

Open was already relatively safe if one had the capacity for learning, how else did people survive a frontier? 99% of people are just like you, they want to go home at night. Save Plebeian: Safe for Mobius.

Thank the griefers who couldn't care less about game play for anyone but themselves, who don't consider the RP aspect of this game and only do it for short term lulz.
