Pledged Alliance, chillin in Rahu, looking for some undermining action.

Im currently at Rahu. Looking for a low or med sec Hudson control system in the general Rahu, Eranin area to make some underming merits. Under a hundred light years would be great.

I tried a nearby high sec Hudson control system and police response time seemed to improve dramatically after i made my first kill :)


Also, just to make sure i have this right, if i kill a Hudson aligned ship, or any ship with Fed allegiance i get merit cred for it?


EDIT: I found Adeo, which is somewhat within the area convenient to me and apparently there is already some progress undermining the system. Other suggestions would also be appreciated :) Thanks.

Why don't you go undermining A.Lavigny, Torval or Grom instead? Or Delaine, who is just there for everybodys undermining pleasure? Just asking...

Is Undermining simply about shooting hostile faction's ships when you find them? Or can you go into 'enemy territory' and pop away at anyone with an opposing alignment?

I had a quick look around "enemy space" myself, but could not see anyone tagged in a way that suggests I won't get a Wanted/Bounty if I do shoot them.

I've also been interdicted a couple of times by opposing faction NPCs. They pull me over, I submit, wait for them to start shooting but they just sit there; and I don't want to be hit with a WANTED label and a fine when I'm delivering missions to their stations (like in Rahu with the CG) - unless that's absolutely necessary, of course.

Is the need to select the right system down to avoiding bounties? Do you need an Anarchy system?

I'm a bit confused... is there an Idiot's Guide to Undermining that simplifies everything without all the other PP waffle?

I did some undermining in a Torval system yesterday and a Hudson system about 270 merits worth, this week i plan on hitting rating 3. I was just looking for something close to the rahu eranin area because im allied with alliance factions there. Thanks for the tip i will give Delain space a try :)

Any targets you would recommend that might have larger strategic significance?

We don't really do much undermining on the Mahon side as we're not engaged in any conflicts. However, Li Yong-Rui has made it clear that their expansion into Kutnigi is unwanted, so they'd be very happy to have people oppose it.

I enjoy it. I especially like taking down defenseless NPC trader ships. The chat lines kill me, "You are in big trouble now, do you know who i work for?"
I'll look for a Torval control system around Kutnigi and get cracking :)

I'd carry on shooting Feds. It will only be so long before they back-stab again. It's how they are.
