Poly count of a PC ride

Just wondering how much the poly count of an pre-existing ride in PC is (for example the Rocktopus). Currently the limit is at 8000 if i'm correct but i cannot imagine a ride being under this value. I know rides are not possible due to its complexity and i can imagine that. However it would still be possible to model rides as a stand alone animated scenery piece, though with the current limit of poly count i wonder if it is even possible to do. That's the reason i'm curious about the poly count of existing rides in PC. I would love to try to model a ride or even convert some of my rides created for TPS (Theme Park Studio) and import it into PC.
Thanks for sharing.

Most of the details are made with normal maps eg. faked impression of a 3D feature.
I normally create a high poly model and bake the details via normal map on a low poly version of the model.
In this case, you need just basic shapes at the end. I think a ride would be totally possible within the 8k limit, but the 8x8 meter restricting is the bottleneck. There are not many rides, except kiddie rides which are inside such a small space.

With the 8x8x8 limit you'd have to make a "faux" ride in parts, think along the lines of a traveling fair, where they have to take apart a ride to fit in a simi trailer or on a simi flatbed, then put it back together in a new location, I'm sure someone can figure out how to make it doable, just be a long complex build this way

Hopefully I'm not thinking too simple:
Create model, it's too big...
Delete parts of the model,
Reload model, delete other parts,
Reload model, delete other parts,

Until it fits, 3-4 models should be enough, right?

Lets say you want to make a mini-golf course... make it in sections, like 18 parts, like a giant puzzle, this hole goes this way, that hole goes the other way, that way you don't have to worry about how big it is...

Or you want to make a big merry go round, cut it into 1/4th, see what I mean now ?

Doing a ride in multiple parts would be a problem as you will not be able to animate it. I still have doubts being able to model a complete ride in just 8k limit. Also the dimension limit is a problem. Just imagine modeling one car then multiply that with the total amount of cars on a ride. Then you still need to model the ride itself. I really wonder what the polycount of a in game ride really is. Just curious :)

This 8x8x8 Limit makes no sense at all, if it was a triangle based limit then fine that makes sense , but seeing that planet coaster does not let you scale assets, its pointless. All game engines work on the number of polys or tris in a viewable scene, The thing is if you have a massive building that the camera s looking at with rides behind it , that massive low poly building actually saves render times. it seems to be a artificial limit for some reason. unless they are trying to gentle nudge us in to making small assets. (I was nearly on topic :)
