Positive thread no whinging, FD is not doomed, this is not an open letter.

The simple things like, you get to see what type of star you are jumping too, in the right info panel. Along with system status right in front of you, as the FSD charges up.

As I'm well out of the bubble i'm enjoying the extra jump info when you start your jump sequence.

Also the ability to filter out star types when you are plotting a route is much appreciated. As for the rest I have no idea, I may get to it in a few months when/if I return.

I don't enjoy 'improved' mission payouts and 'polished' passenger missions as I came back from Colony hoping to see mission improvements but got gutted when I saw that actually I should have stayed there and explore until next 'hotfix'.

To be fair there are a lot of improvements, new additions: galaxy map filters, route plotting, jump centering, station interiors, ship launched fighters, crew, remote bounty/bonds/fines and I think this is the most impressive 'patch' to date irrespective of any bugs it introduces.
Along with previous improvements it is really becoming impressive space sim instead of bare bones tech demo.
Once FD fixes/overhauls the missions it will be epic (at least for me).

I never thought it would be the case.......but I am *loving* SLF's & Crew. Voice acting has really nailed it, IMHO. Passenger missions-in spite of being a bit "vanilla"-are still great fun.....& are encouraging me to leave my comfort zone and see other parts of the galaxy.

Station interiors are also a nice little touch!

Umm... I like that Frontier fixed wear and tear on the paintjobs. And... umm... The graphics look even better now. Oh and the SLFs are really good.

In all honestly, 2.2 as a whole is alright. I'm just really tired of waiting for the next patch so i can get back to actually playing it. But once that patch does come, I'll be happy.

I love the fact that it remembers my last plotted route when I log back in. It's a little thing, but it's so handy :) Module storage and transfer is AWESOME too - it makes multirole ships like the Python truly multirole. It's a bit obvious but ship transfer is luvverly too.

Not seen this before, so I am assuming it is new in 2.2, but when I went to a small base (one of those you cannot dock at), there was a Navy Anaconda parked on the ground. Which looked dramatic and added a sense of scale to the base. And when I accidently set the base alarm off, when I turned around to fight the flimsy skimmers, I saw the Anaconda had taken off and was shooting missiles at me, so I had to run for my life. And I had run out of nickel and so could not repair the SRV's hull, and so I was avoiding missiles while trying to find a rock to shoot. It was great fun - I was killed of course.
I like these unexpected encounters and I am sure FD will keep adding and improving them.

I'm actually really enjoying the passenger missions, so nice to be out and about finding visitor beacons for passengers and being payed in boatloads for short little excursions in my AspX that is starting to show wear and tear on the paintjob for the first time ever, I think many of us kind of needed the push to start doing more than just flying station to station, and actually take a look at the scenery too :)

Also enjoying the SLF's even if I've only flown them for about an hour and a half, made more of a profit than I expected for the time spent messing around in the iFighter, great fun zipping around in res-sites using the 'roids for cover :p

I had a similar encounter with an Imperial Clipper. It was on the ground near a wrecked SRV which had a escape pod. I tried to rescue the escape pod (decided it was better not to ask why the Navy Clipper couldn't be bothered doing the rescuing) set off the alarms and then watched the Clipper blast off. I remember thinking that's cool, then oh oh it's moving into attack position - quick recall ship, then drying to dodge it's laser fire before finally getting vaped just yards from my own Clipper. I then took off in my own Clipper and engaged in a dogfight just yards off the planets surface. Great fun.

Many, many things I enjoy in 2.2: new station layout, ship-launched fighters, improved graphics and so on.

On top of that, the entertainment value (and saltiness) of the forum has greatly increased. :p

Can I just say I like the game as a whole? I'm still new enough to have not even tried everything I'd like to try from earlier versions, let alone 2.2.

And even though I'm not exactly shy about complaining about things that do vex me, well I like ED more than enough to still be playing anyway and hope it will continue to improve.

A no complaining thread cool....Jex free zone. :)

Haha I saw him force you out of one a while back which eventually did become a little more productive, but too late I guess :p
