Post your weird systems!

Aw I take it back, you're not a lazy git
My dastardly plot is working. No one suspects I am indeed a lazy git.

Mwhuahahah.

Just found one of my explorator Graal. And make it double. Two Water World (on terraformable) orbiting around a Gas Giant.
And the Gas giant is red/pink, perfect contrast for the blues pearls.

Little one, the terraformable one :

It's big brother :

Hey that was my grail too. Great minds

Twin stars, twin worlds. A personal (albeit relatively simple) Grail. Plus the other planets and given how close it is to the Bubble, the system almost seems purpose built for a colony. Shame we can't set those up.

Sadly never quite managed to get all four in shot, but I did manage to snap each pair seperately:

Just encountered a binary system with the primary being a neutron star, and the secondary an M-class red dwarf. Luckily I had my throttle down to 0 as per usual when entering the system, so there were no surprises from that neutron star. In orbit of both stars were a couple of large HMC's, one of them terraformable. In orbit of the red dwarf, though, were 5 small planets, all of them metal rich. If that one planet did get terraformed, this system would make for a very interesting mining outpost.. around a neutron star :)

Was also glad this system was previously undiscovered. When I spotted a neutron star less than 200 ly from my position on my galaxy map, I kinda thought others would have filtered it out and found it by now as well. I guess one can always count on the enormity of the galaxy :)

Found a fairly weird world. Technically a "High Metal Content Planet", but could be considered a water world...

Key points:
  • Surface temp: 1087K
  • Surface pressure: 3241 Atm
  • Atmosphere: 99.5% Water

The "atmosphere" is water in a supercritical fluid state.

Is this the most colourful system out there I wonder

.
p.s. Only the main star was scanned so if you wanna do the rest.................;)

Arare was a bit of a strange system.

Station in orbit around the star, since there's no planets. Rare, but fair enough. Then I got closer:

It appears to be in an orbit around something orbiting the T-Tauri. But scanners picked up nothing, and I couldn't see anything in the middle either...

I'm sure there's one just like that but with a white dwarf. Was frequently there when I was doing my Alioth permit so it's one of those.

This was an interesting system I came across on my way to Sag A*

That is 9 x T Tauri and 2 X Herbig Ae/Be (weird name but they sure spin rapidly!!)

Hi folks!

Just stumbled over this one:

So first planet is an Ice World (with some 2,5k Kelvin surface temp by the way). So far so good. But the second one is a terraformable Water World with an intact Ammonia/Nitrogen/Oxygen atmosphere?

Yeah right...

Nothing out of ordinary, just Ammonia world without atmosphere and with metallic rings. And it is pretty heavy too

Found this one today. Two terraformable water worlds with life, one with a moon, orbiting a black hole and a white dwarf, orbiting a neutron star. When I first saw the system map, it looked like one of the worlds was an ELW. Oh well, still a nice find, I'd say.

Forgive me for not sharing the system info. I haven't turned in the data yet. An "8K" full system map shot will be in my exploration trip photograph log that I'll share after my return.

You guys might have seen this before, but I haven't, and I can't explain it either. O-Class Star? Sure, seen plenty. Wolf-Rayet Stars? Aye, a handfull of them too. But 2 in one? Never ever seen that before...
Anyone up to the task?
