This thread points out the absurdity of FD's attempt at making a procedural galaxy that resembles the real one, they missed the mark completely with this one, maybe time to rebuild the algorithms that drive the galaxy creation.

Half the fun of Exploring is finding these little glitches.
I think they set out to make a galaxy that had similarities with this one, while incorporating gameplay mechanics.
Well, they missed the mark then didn't they? The one they made is unrealistic and totally different than the one we live in, and it follows different rules in how it is created.

how's what? What didn't you understand? There is a statement of opinion, followed by the logical reasoning the opinion is based on, seems straight forward.
It's all any of us has...but some will take the time to research before forming one, my research is in game and on this thread, I don't see any correlation between the systems the game throws together and the ones formed naturally.Ah opinion. Got it!
Seems realistic enough for a game based on what it thinks our galaxy would look like in the year 3301.
I suspect the real universe is much weirder, actually.

i just found dark chocolate in space or the most brown planet you can imagine.

What the heck is going on over to the right? Moon orbiting moon, orbiting a moon, orbiting a moon, orbiting a moon, orbiting a planet.

Actually, that's another example of a gas giant moon of another gas giant. And it has its own set of moons and they get drawn like that in the system map
A first for me! And what I thought was a pretty strange system.
