Post your weird systems!

Oh, it's just a Water World (with life but not terraformable). With ring. Around of Neutron star.

No big deal.

With some small isolated island... so pretty, so calm...

Did you notice something usual on the last screen ? Maybe a lack of something...

Yeah.
For non-french reader : this Water World with life has no atmosphere.
Scientists ? Help plz !
Fellow explorer, have you meet some other "maybe-not-so-liquid" water world with no atmosphere ?

Explorers,
I know we've found super massive stars before but this was my first one so here are some pictures.

Just a picture from the cockpit right? Notice the range....1500Ls and still fills the cockpit view.

Tried to fly through a solar flare... then took 25 seconds to escape the gravitational pull.

211 solar radi. Not discovered by me but still impressive.

I'm not exactly sure what happened in this system. I scanned every astronomical object available in my computer. (And yes, I do have an ADS.)

But never did find this "undiscovered" planet on the System Map. I'm not sure if this a program generation bug or what...but it upset my OCD tremendously. LOL

If you'd scrolled down past the last star on your system menu you may have seen it there, just before the list of jump candidates. The reason is because its not orbiting a star it shows up at the top level on its own (really annoying if you've a lot of these). If it's furthest from you it shows up last.

I'm not scientist... but...
The life might just survive in water, and never go outside.

I'm more interested with this island...
Why is it green ??? We usually consider this is some sort of photosynthetic life, but with no atmosphere it's probably not.
So what ? Oxydized copper ? May be, but i'm still surprised copper could be oxydized in a no atmosphere environment.

Aquatic life on a planet with no significant gaseous atmosphere present isn't a problem.

Photosynthesis also not a problem underwater, our oceans are full of organisms that can extract enough dissolved CO2 from the water to keep it going.

I had logged out in this system...so I took a closer look and got a detailed surface scan in on that elusive planet.

Thank you for the heads up!

I came across this - not only is that gas giant SUPER close to the sun, note in the one picture how flattened out and oval it is!

Damn, I tought someone got my system, but my system's sun seems to be yellower. :D

I'm still flying.

The largest distance was 0,26ly (8.200.000 ls). I took 1,5 hours. Boring but no problem with fuel.
The top speed was 1800 c.

Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA). How long it'll take to get there, it currently gives you one but it's based off the speed you're going AT THAT MOMENT, so it's basically useless.

It'd be possible to make an equation for it using only distance to the object under the assumption that you won't get caught in anything's gravity well on the way there.
