Power play? No, thank you!

I own just one, with my Player Faction on it.

Kept it for 7-8 years (from the time ED started to give systems to players), we made a beginners mistake to expand, and that's when it became a second job.

Now I'm careful to stop before the expansion and enjoy caring for the system. It's manageable if it's only one.
And quite a nice gameplay.

Ditto. My home system has several star ports, many planet based settlements and quite a few asteroid fields. It's a mini-galaxy in a small package.

It's a gem of a system 👍

Do you think that if I’m not aligned with a power, I won’t see anything? And the starports won’t be threatening me with death? I think I know FDev by now.
They tuned down the "NPC aggression level", even in yesterday FUnlock was stated that mainly stronghold system, near carrier groups, there will be aggressive Power NPC.

I do not like few PP 2.0 "features", but tuning need time, allow some "partners" to test in advance was a wise move, aggression was reduced thanks to their feedback.

We have to appreciate the fact that they are renewing the system, however there will always be someone dissatisfied, it can't please everyone.

As long as engineer systems and other features relevant to an independent traveller remain unimpeded, let them have their merry ways. It was certainly time to make powerplay more interesting, but it shouldn't reduce the free space for those who until now were not engaged with it.

I'd like to make a statement about power play in general, and I believe I'm not only speaking for our very large squadron, but for all other independent squadrons who refuse to serve the superpowers. Tomorrow, we’re getting an update that will bring PP 2.0. It already didn’t make sense before. Imagine owning 50 systems, and you constantly have players coming in who support, say, the Federation. Your systems are under the control of your independent faction. Yet, to keep control over these systems, you often have to fight off factions that are being pushed against you. As a result, many of our people are hostile to the Federation. Ok, fine. But what’s odd is that when you arrive at your own starport, air traffic control threatens to shoot you down. And why? Because PP takes priority over BGS. Do you know how annoying it is to be treated like a terrorist at your own home stations? We’re not interested in PP at all, yet we’re being dragged into this charade. Alright, now there's going to be an update, and I’m concerned that all starports will be plastered like a Christmas tree with banners from the superpower clowns. If that’s the case, I strongly protest and request at least some filter to turn off this charade, at least when it comes to starport cosmetics. It honestly frustrates me that Fdev ignores BGS players and independent squadrons.
I've no idea at what time the colonisation update was announced, if after your post, has it changed your outlook any?

This is question to all PP and BGS players.

What do I, a single commander need to do to get rid of you all in my future solar system ?

They said colonisation process will be tied with PP so its even worse.
No, they said it can affect PP. That is completely different.

The fact of the matter is, BGS and PP have never had any appreciable effect on me. I still haven't seen any evidence that this will change for the new PP. From what I can see, this thread started based on uninformed guesswork, just like the post I replied to.

Simple answer, find Raxxla slip though to another galaxy and set up there. Perhaps consider leaving behind some misinformation as to the location of the wormhole, so that no worms follow you through!!!

You can look for some place that is really hard to get to and set up a colony there perhaps, some daisy chain of uninteresting systems that lead to some difficult void in the galaxy to cross, and then find a really nice system on the other side and construct from there.

You can be sure that the power parasites will move in on any nice systems that folks put there love into, if they are easy to get to.

Oh no! Anyway...

You arent exempt from opposition just for being independent. Im federal and we get independent people messing with our bgs all the time. Thats what the system is for. If you want to sniff plants on your peaceful isolated piece of paradise maybe try planet coaster?
Or... just wait for colonization and build that island yourself. @Salmonea
