Well done Frontier for download speeds this time! I've never had any major problems, but today was exceptionally fast :)

Guys,

Great work so far. I just had to flee from an Elite rated Eagle. Doesn't look good in my Python I can tell you. Anyway, another problem to report.

I have accepted several missions in the new mission system. They were going well and I really like the way you can now intercept your mission targets in SC. However, as soon as I accepted the mission "Intercept Thargoid Scout ship and recover Artefact", all of my other mission timers have timed out to zero, and now I have been not only fined, but given a bounty which will last for 7 days. I was planning to complete those other missions before I investigated the Thargoid one.

I don't know if Michael and Ed are reading this, but if so I think this is a significant problem - please can you look into this straight away.

I could really use someone to wing up with here. Anybody out there....

But how clever of them to update the servers on a Friday evening when so many people will be at home wanting to play the game, when they could have succumbed to temptation and updated at, say, 2 o'clock in the morning.......

Steam downloads its own version of the Client, a distinct program and distinct install from the Frontier launcher (FORC-FDEV-D-1010 instead of FORC-FDEV-D-1000) It's essentially a second redundant client, but each can be used to play your same single game through the account you log into.

Frontier suggested, when I asked them yesterday, to pick your launcher of choice and consider deleting the other one to save disk space.

Did that as soon as I downloaded the Steam version the other week.

Oh well. I'm getting in now - first it failed to connect to the matchmaking server, now it can't find the adjudication server...

I wonder what sort of configuration the servers clusters are in. I remember way back in Eve Online when they upgraded their massive Windows Server clusters to run on SSDs

Oh no, spoke too soon!

Can't join the Mobius group - just a cancel button available. I can see everyone in the group roster though. And preparing shaders on each launch. They are over prepared now!

@Rootstrat: I wish I had your connection speed. I currently have AT&T DSL here in Texas with a download speed of 627KB/s.
