Powerplay Powerplay Modules - Nearly have them all

I got the Packhounds today, which leaves only Containment Missile, Pacifier Frag Cannon, Pulse Disruptor, and Retributor to go, so by Jan 2018 I should have them all. No Mining Lance for me though, so my "completionist" fetish will always have that particular itch...until it doesn't.

That hard part is having enough ships to hold all the oversupply of these things. I'm really looking forward to the Pacifier.

That is all.

I just want a bunch of burst firing railguns but i cant be to grind PP...

Lol what grind? You pledge, wait 3 weeks and then get 750 merits.

The grind lies within the fact that for four weeks, you are KOS for any opposing Player and cannot Show your face at CG's taking place in hostile Systems or even bounty hunt is RES there.

Also, gathering the merits are a grind if you don't do it through combat.

Good effort.

I'm just in the process of trying to figure out exactly how many of each class of modules I'd need to buy for all my ships, and how much it's all going to cost, before embarking on that particular journey.

Have you ended up with a gigantic pile of different modules in a heap of classes or have you restricted yourself to only grabbing modules for one or two specific ships?

I have nearly all of the too, but the pacifier is a beast, more so with double shot!

Enjoy.

Fly safe and steal power play toys.

Solution: Private groups/Solo. I can recommend Mobius as a private PvE group.

TBH - I should be doing this at the moment, as the three weeks of waiting is the easy part for me (as I'm not even playing) :)

Just not sure I could bring myself to do the hours of farming required every three weeks...

TBH, it just underlines how wacky PP (& inturn ED's design) is... Folks simply signing up, bribed by a module, and then no doubt simply zoom off to a random system after 3 weeks (they don't care which) to get 750 merits... and then basically leaving the Power (they couldn't give two hoots about). The depth of gameplay and design really shines through...

Compared to a pulse laser with the same engineering ability is the cytoscrambler really worth it?

The Cytoscrambler is considered to be one of the worst PP modules in the game. I think it would be hilarious if the OP had cytoscramblers but didn't yet have pacifier cannons.

The Cytoscrambler is a great shield stripper when it hits. I coupled mine with Inertial Impact which adds even more damage (40DPS on a small) but they have 8 degrees of jitter :D

Point blank on large ships works best.

The grind for 750 merits is only about an hour when done at 30 merits a pop undermining. Not bad at all.

I thought KOS was only if you defect. If you just leave and go to another power are you just as KOS? Maybe there isn't two ways to leave and I read wrong?

I've been in ALD for ever and haven't started the module truism yet. I want to which is why I ask.

Correct. If you defect, you get hunted by NPCs. If you leave a power, nothing happens, but you get a time out where you can't pledge I think.

So you want stuff for free. And people wonder why PowerPlayers haaate module shoppers.

No... Just want challenging/logical gameplay... It's over two years since Powerplay was introduced, and it's about as useful as a chocolate teapot...

I really could not face logging on for a hour just to farm ships in some random zone... I've more than done it... Year after year... And yet, here we still are with that (shallow) level of gameplay and depth approaching 3yrs on.
