Purchasing the Premium Beta right now will allow you access to the Single player combat portion of the game as a taster until the full Premium Beta build is released on the 30th of May 2014.

Indeed, it's just Mr. Norton's paranoia kicking in. You might need to have a look at the Norton insight and trust any ED applications, I had some issues that appeared related to untrusted files in MP.
I just knocked the bloody thing off for 10 mins tried to tell it to trust but he was not believing me.

Basically I bought the premium boxed edition for £90 pledge tier. Does this mean (via the store) I could get access to this beta for an extra £10?
I'm assuming my pledge tier gets me beta access, but not sure what round of beta I'm allowed.

It should do - your backing level will be deducted when you check out. Premium beta £100, you've pledged £90, difference £10.

The upgrade cost is based on the products you have in the store, so it is a copy of the game, beta 2 and the expansion pack, so £85. You'd have to pay £15 to upgrade.

Yeah this is what I assumed too, thanks for the answer man.
So basically I would log into the store and buy the beta access for £100 and because I've paid £90 already I would essentially just get charged £10? Paranoid that i'll get charged £100. ha.
you might find only £50 of that amount counts towards the cost of premium beta as the store bases the discount on which component that is available from it you already own, £90 buys you the standard beta in store money so you would still be £50 short of the premium not a tenner.
