Project cars

My rift is due to arrive tomorrow. I had a dabble on monitor today but finding the gokarts a bit of a chore, getting motion sick on my monitor. Not sure if will be better or worse I vr.

Afaik all versions use the rift skd so you will get the same experience on steam as on oculus store

Whilst there are a few games which test me in vr motion sickness is not something I am used to on a screen

i find motion sickness is a problem with the go-karts. i put it down to lack of cockpit meaning everything in your entire vision is moving(similar effect to the SRV with its wide cockpit windows).
maybe if you could force the helmet cam on in vr it might help.

Wow. Picked this up at the weekend off steam. On a telly the gokarts made me feel sick and I was rubbish. On rift cv1 however......... Amazing!. No sickness found it easy and so much fun. Best videogame racing I have ever had and totally reminded me of real karts

I recommande the steam version that adds, FOR NOW, sessions online. The Oculus version looks like it works on other servers and are empty.
I played with the Go-Kart, No motion sickness, Maybe is better to focus in the distance

Well it's not a problem for me anyway I doubt I will play a racing game outside of vr ever again and pcars is sublime in its vr support with zero sickness
Racing games and flight games in vr are heavenly matches IMO.

This is correct. PCars natively used Valve's Steamworks for matchmaking until now, which was a big problem for Oculus, so the Oculus home build of the game uses some other servers for matchmaking - as result it's deader than a PVP clan's teamspeak during school hours :D.

Yeah after 1 lap of Project Cars in my old DK2 that was it. Cant do flat anymore.

In the CV1 the Alpine A450 LMP2 is sublime, its just bonkers good.

I raced British championship F2 sidecars for a long time so know what its like to do it for real so i can honestly say that the VR experience is astonishingly lifelike.
