Hi Cmdrs...
playing along "Elite" since home computer aera on an Amstrad CPC and was happy to got back into it two years ago. Thx for that!
Game has too many buttons to press so I setup VA and soon HOTAS and sound system and add HCS as well to it..
Added an eye controlled system to it and play it still on one monitore only...
Discovered the new VR-headsets in the last two month... and I loved it.
Maybe Santa will bring me one for Xmas....

What I want to do is...

Read thru the forum and found threads about "gaming seats" and "pilot seats" and got in contact to Cmdrs.
Big Thx to Cmdr Sparrowgun who gave me a lot of details to start over doing my own project... Thx bro!
Started learning how to construct (digital) a pilot seat and went thru a lot of ups and downs.
Finally I have most of the messurements ready and could construct a seat and all the parts I would need. (see 2nd image from April 2019)
What love IF Frontier could support me with more details... ;-)
Changes are made already to some parts!
Not happy with the had stand... :-(
Still some issues with the parts around the shoulder...
The 3rd image is from Mai 2019 (see below)
Construction would be made from aluminium:
Found a neigbhour who does wig welding - thumbs up!
Have a friend who can cut the 2mm wood for the sides and deco... thumbs up!
BIG problem is still:
how to implement the g-seat meachic...
AND the colors are only for constructions.... lol
It will be dark gray and black at the end.... lol

- the space game
- the sounds and sound effects of the game
- the sound of my virtuel crew
- the virtuel look around...
What I want to do is...
- to build a light weight replica pilot seat - first!
- to add a g-seat functionality. This comes second!
- to add a function that stimulates the moves for the inner ear. So a bit of a 3dof-seat. This would come third!

- 20x20mm frame (sides) and 30x30mm frame (back and stand) etc..
- sides covered with 2mm wood
- deco parts made with foam 20mm or 60mm (xps)
