Promoting one of two Pending States.

Apologies if this is covered somewhere else...

Finally reached parity with the controlling faction in our target system and both factions now have both BOOM and CIVIL WAR as pending states.

Would really like to see this go into CIVIL WAR. What can we do to try to encourage this to happen?

Civil war overrides boom. It'll happen.

Yep civil war will end boom, nothing can stop it now

You can start boosting your factions influence now, it will count once civil war starts

Many thanks for your encouraging responses I really hope this is how it actually resolves. I will probably still pace around like an expectant father just before the next tick tocks.

It might be a few ticks. Boom has a countdown of 2 days. Civil War, 3 days. So you could go into boom for a day before the civil war goes active. It all depends on when the states went pending.

So far so good, BOOM kicked in and CIVIL WAR is pending for both factions. Influence figures have diverged quite a bit (9%) so we have upped our game on missions since the Saturday tick to hopefully pull it back a bit.

Pull what back? They're that far ahead of you? If so, yes missions for your faction will help. If you're ahead of them, you should keep pulling ahead.

I don't understand what you're saying, but if I read you correctly, you're trying to equalize influence again. You already did that part when it went pending, so the conflict can't be canceled.

You read that correctly. We dropped 4% they gained 5% didn't want to be going into the war with a big deficit.

Are you being worked against or is this just due to you being new to the System?

No we have been in here for over a month. I don't think we are being directly/actively opposed. Its a complicated situation fair bit of daily traffic, large number of multi system factions, power play and a small player faction. Activity always peeks at weekends and we drift slightly.

Well, then it shouldn't be too problematic to win once things go live (1-kill-turn-in tactic for a while should help).

Control has been seized [big grin] Thank you for your assistance commanders.
Now, to expand and or force out other factions from OUR system (my school report did say that I do not mix well with others many moons ago

)
