After playing this game for over 1000 hours and 3 years I finally decided to buy myself one of the 'Big 3'
Called her the 'Eclipse' due to the rather large size.

Also Im pretty sure the Cutter doesnt turn, the universe moves around it

Congrats. My favorite large ship. You'll get used to flying it with a few bumps here and there but one word of advice, don't boost on approach to station. Even boosting right when you drop out of SC and throttling to zero, you'll smack the station or go flying by.

Well Ive made the mistake of turning the ship towards my docking pad as soon as Im through the letterbox, forgetting that theres about 100 meters of quite wide ship behind me haha!

Also the engines on it sound amazing

My first big ship was the Annie of course, and I never really liked it or got used to it. When I finally had the rank and credits for the Cutter, I was most uncertain about it. But boy, what a glorious ship she is. I call her the Gloria Mundi.

If you aren’t using it for combat I’d recommend 8D DD 5 for thrusters. Still quick but better on the rebuy.

...because the over-charged maneuvering thrusters only engage when the docking computer is switched on.

Wait till you'll fully engineer Cutter's shields. You'll be able to re-define all your combat scenarios with that beast.
