Lol. The aptly named Space Farce Expedition.
By the way. I found out I quit the game 1,100 lys from WP2. So I'll be there this weekend.

People clamor for roleplay until it is given to them.
I hope you're accepting friend requests!
Youve not won anything, as it seems to have no impact on the expedition at large or its mission. If theres a RP reason for attacking explorers, it hasnt been made clear by anyone. Null's bit about postponing the "heat death of the universe" is pretty weak.
Whats the actual point to it other than frustrating people who'd rather not deal with it?
We're gonna RP as bad guys.
They're gonna go play a different game entirely.
We win.
Butthurt? Nah man. I can't speak for Vin, but for my money this has been the most fun I've had playing ED in a very long time.
I'm planning to get shot down. Lots of times if things go well.
I'd be a bit surprised if they followed the expedition *all the way* frankly.
But eventually combat ships have to repair and rearm, and the nearest place to do that will be an increasingly long trek, especially for a combat-fitted ship.
Just a quick question...
Do you still win if they all go to PGs or Solo?
Do you still win if they quit the game and tell all their friends not to buy?
I really have no idea.
We win no matter what they do.
If they all go to PG or Solo, we shoot each other and still have fun.
Easy-peasy.
Yes, I'm sure that's where all the self-pity here on the forum is coming from.
Considering you guys are supposed to be the "get hard bois"-squad, all we ever see from you is whining.
New flash: When the dev's are god handing local security to higher levels at the waypoint, it's not because I or any other PvPer is "whining". It's the opposite. Our efforts our resounding painfully throughout the echo chamber that is Fleetcomm, and the pitiful cry's of it's organizers are being heard (and acted upon) all the way to Frontiers main office.
Technically, we are *not* parasites, but simple predators taking advantage of an easy meal.
We're just part of the eco system, Ziggy. Nature isn't always pretty, but it is what it is. If it were not for predators, the prey animals would over run the planet and eat all of the vegetation. In fact, you guys should be thanking us. If you've ever seen a lion or a polar bear on the hunt, you know how powerful predators can be. Life may well have been troubled by these killer species since its very beginning, over 3.5 billion years ago, and they have wrought untold death and destruction. As a result they get a bad press: even the word "predator" stems from the Latin term to rob or plunder. Small wonder that, when people imagine paradise, it normally doesn't have any predators in it.
But this reputation misses something important: out of predatory destruction, constructive things can emerge. Predators may have played a big role in many of the biggest leaps forward in the history of life, from the origin of animals to the evolution of skeletons. Predation may even have helped shape the evolution of humanity itself, driving us to become ever more intelligent. Now, with that in mind, please enjoy the following video that aptly describes the relationship between explorers and PvPers:

Agreed, 100%.
There's a very relevant term; "trophic cascade".
