Purrfect Rescue Park

My newest franchise zoo is called Purrfect Rescue Park. I wanted to make a pun and this is the best I could come up with (yeah...I know). It's my second attempt at making a cat sanctuary since I never finished the first one. The idea behind is it that it's a park where we house rescued big cats. That's really all there is to it. Okay, so let's move on to the pictures.

This is an aerial view. The idea is to have 3 huge paths and each brings you to a differently themed area. The left side of the park is African themed where the main attractions are the lions and the cheetahs. The right side will be the tropics where the jaguars and the Bengal tigers will live. The middle area where you see a big dome is where the snow leopards and the Siberian tigers will be.

This is the entrance. I'm quite proud of it because I usually suck at making entrances. There are mirrored info shops on both sides with 3 arches in the middle of the plaza. There's a colorful simple picture on the floor representing 3 big cats - cheetah, lion and tiger. I really wanted to play around with the pieces from the classical theme since I never really used them properly before.

When you first enter the park you are greeted by the tapirs and anteaters. I wanted something special so I made a glass walkway and "divided" their enclosure where left side is for playing and right side for eating. They also have an artificial pool made out of plaster. The display board in the middle of the path is a work in progress so that's why half of it is empty.

Onto the left is where the African area is. There is a small platform with some drinks where guests can buy some beverage before going into the area to explore. I'm also building on the tropical map so it's always very hot.

The sign just says Africa because I couldn't come up with a good name.

When you enter the area there's a big baobab tree and a sign post telling you where different animals are. As you move forward there's a decoration with some African huts and speakers playing ambient music. Onto the left there is the start of the cheetah's enclosure and opposite to it is a huge food court with toilets and some staff facilities in the back.

Before you enter the tunnel where you can see the cheetahs sleep there is an enclosure with common warthogs and springboks. I had some space and didn't want to put another high appeal African animal there so I went with those two species. I personally love these "low tier" animals and usually use them much more than those that are considered "high tier". Anyway, I wanted to create a simple yet beautiful habitat with a small raised platform where guests can view them. It also forces the guests to move from the main path as they like to get clustered especially if there are animals on both sides, like in my case.

Then you enter the tunnel (I'm quite happy with it) which is very simple inside, just with a few benches/bins and education displays. You come out before the lion enclosure.

To the left are 3 exhibits. Nothing special, I just had space there and figured putting the exhibits there would be nice. Also, they cover the staff facilities behind.

Then you go onto the bridge where you can have a good look at the lions on both sides. They have an artificial waterfall and hill where I've put the feeder so guests can have a close up as the lions are eating. They have bedding underneath the bridge where they can rest and hide away. I put some fabric canopies so guests can hide under the shade while looking at the lions.

If you go right when you exit the tunnel there are some food/drink shops and a night house for the aardvarks. Again, I had some space and I felt like building a night house. The habitat itself is very simple. And with this last enclosure the African part is (almost) complete. I might do some tweaks here and there but for the most part it's finished. I'm quite pleased with it.

And then you enter the "Cold Land". I can't come up with a good name so I just left it for now. I made this simple arch out of arctic pieces which I think I will use a lot in this area of the park. There's a huge dome with a path in the middle. Right side is where the snow leopards are and left is where the Siberian tiger will be. There's a platform where guests can view the leopards in their outside portion of the habitat.
