You smug condenscenion continues to amaze.
You do realize this is a game right? A spaceship video game? A game that most do for enjoyment?
How small must it be eh?
Question: why is the acknowledgement that other players who have sharpened their skills on sharper edges than half-lobotimized NPC's painful for you?
Do you recoil at the suggestion that Floyd Mayweather might be able to beat you up? That Neil deGrasse Tyson might be smarter than you? That Brad Pitt might look more handsome than you?
I watch pro players play games on Twitch on occasion. Dota 2, League of Legends, Counterstrike, Overwatch, and so on. Many of those games offer NPC vs modes. I can play those vs modes and get to a point where I can destroy the hardest difficulty of NPC in those games. Does that mean I should feel equal to the players competing for millions of dollars? Or is it possible they might actually simply be better than me, even if I played against those NPCs for 1,000 hours? In reality those NPC modes are below the very level of human player in those games. NPCs don't prepare you for a damn thing except beating up more NPCs.
I'm mostly a PvE player (for now); I have been PvE focused for 1,700 hours. I would not expect to be able to beat any regular PvP player. I'm okay with that. Gives me a new goal to shoot for should I decide to shoot for it.
It's weird, the fragility of you guys egos. Heaven forbid players who sharpen their iron on other players instead of perma-spinning NPCs in RES sites (remember those??!) end up with the stronger set of skills and deeper understanding of the game.
Thanks to clarify the situation Cosmos, so all PVE players are 'crap' tier players... what a open minded vision !
Surely a bit of respect from BOTH sides would be great if we want to make this work
If you feel you're good, put on some gloves and get in a PvP ring and prove it. This is all pretty simple.
I was always under the impression that open was pvp mode and if one doesnt git gud, we should go solo...
Nah man, Open is just...Open. Things can happen. Things rarely happen unless you're at a CG or something.
I'm in Open every day and I've been hostilely interdicted once in the last 12 months. I simply flew away. The number of times I see a friendly commander compared to those with bad intentions is something on the order of 200:1.
